It’s often difficult to distinguish between the arguments of anti-semitic pro-Palestinians (à la Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Louis Farrakhan) and anti-semitic white nationalists. Actor John Cusack ran across this problem Monday night when he posted an anti-semitic tweet that used a Neo-Nazi quote, thinking it was a pro-Palestine meme. The Con Air star later deleted the tweet and issued an apology, but through the left’s readiness to forgive, it unintentionally exposed its own hypocrisy.
With scenes of rape, incestual sex, decapitations, and child executions, Game of Thrones was considered one of the most graphic shows on TV until its conclusion last month. Yet somehow, HBO’s latest teen drama Euphoria makes Game of Thrones look family-friendly in comparison. The Parents Television Council has issued an urgent warning to parents against the new show, but the media has mostly dismissed the alert, showering the graphic teen-targeted show with praise.
Yesterday, President Trump announced the departure of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Immediately following the announcement, Hollywood celebrities and their lefty media pals popped the champagne bottles, taking pot shots at the former Trump staffer.
It’s no big secret that the left openly targets Christianity for its views on marriage and gender. From the “Shame List” of faith-based colleges to the “Slate of Hate” of religious liberty bills, private religious institutions everywhere are smacked with the labels “hateful” and “bigotted” by the left-wing media. Now, bestselling romance novelist Nicholas Sparks is next to face the media’s branding iron.
In George Orwell’s 1984, ever-present telescreens continuously broadcast propaganda for the totalitarian government IngSoc. One would have to look no further than a video released Wednesday on the website of Harper's Bazaar to get an idea of what this kind of propaganda looks like. The video’s purpose was to advocate for Planned Parenthood and abortion “rights,” calling people to stand up against the new pro-life bills passed across the country.
Remember the days when you could plop your kid in front of the TV without worrying about lefty indoctrination? Well, those days are over. Yesterday, Buzzfeed confirmed that My Little Pony will premiere an episode featuring a lesbian couple on Saturday for Discovery Family. This is coupled with a tweet from the Cartoon Network celebrating Pride Month.
Yesterday, the medical journal Annals of Internal Medicine released a study on the physical health effects of abortion and the left-wing media jumped on it. While most media outlets simply reported what the publication stated, Salon decided to take the extra step of inserting their own lefty conclusions.
Pose’s transgender writer, director, and producer Janet Mock has a few choice words for those who aren’t super-careful with pronouns. Deified in 2014 for her memoir, the Hollywood media has long looked to Mock for her expertise on trans issues. In an interview with The Root yesterday, Janet Mock once again imparted her wisdom, relating mistaken pronouns to racism against black people.
Surprise! Neal Baer, writer and producer of the crazy liberal show Designated Survivor, is a crazy liberal! In an interview with The Daily Beast, Baer talked about being a gay Hollywood producer (one of many), gushed over his own work, and condemned Republicans as evil, traitorous scum.
For a group of people who preach free love and free hugs, liberals really need to loosen up. On Saturday, Kylie Jenner posted a video on her Instagram of a “Handmaid’s Tale” themed birthday party she hosted for her friend. The video has since been deleted, but not before the Twitter social justice mob had already unleashed its wrath.
Progressives “f*cking love science!” Really, they never tire of telling us that. Except when unborn babies are involved. Or dopey spiritualism. From silly daily horoscopes to public hexes against the President, the world of spiritual energy and incantations thought to be left behind in pagan Europe has now captured the imagination of the fastest growing “religious” group in America -- the “nones.” However, this acceptance of the occult seems more like a club against traditional Judeo-Christianity than a legitimate faith-based system of beliefs.
This past May, NPR released a guideline for the terminology that should be used in regards to the abortion debate. The guideline stated, “Babies are not babies until they are born” and abortion clinics are “health clinics.” And war is peace and freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength -- just like Orwell said. This morning, following NPR’s lead, The Guardian announced that it will no longer call the Georgia abortion bill “the heartbeat bill” because it is “not medically accurate.” It will now be called “ the six week abortion ban.”
Before entering the Oval Office in 2009, Former President Barack Obama was worth $1.3 million. Now he’s worth $135 million. With more money than he knows what to do with, he and Michelle are planning to launch a series of podcasts exclusively on Spotify. According to Variety, the agreement is with Higher Ground Audio, a new division of the Obamas’ growing media empire--Higher Ground Productions.
On Wednesday, The Huffington Post released an exclusive interview with Global Teacher Prize finalist Andrew Moffat to discuss his “No Outsider” teaching program in the U.K. that has been protested by many angry, religious parents, particularly from the Muslim community. The honest reporters at HuffPost U.K. framed Moffat’s program as promoting “equality across all sections of society” and teaching children about “diversity and LGBTQ rights,” with no regards to parents’ protests.
Unless you’re a hermit living in blessed solitude, you already know that June is LGBT Pride Month. But who says that straight people can’t celebrate in June? On Tuesday, author James Fell woefully announced on his Facebook “It’s official. Boston is going to have a ‘Straight Pride Parade.’” The event is still pending approval from the City of Boston. Sadly, the satirical event has drawn the ire of many intolerant Hollywood stars who are fighting to shut it down.
Today, the UK’s “centrist” newspaper The Independent reported that Brandon Wade, founder of a popular website for sugar daddies (older men that spend lavishly on their younger girlfriends for sex), has offered to pay Alabama women to have out-of-state abortions. The Independent's article itself is packed with rhetoric and misinformation meant to defame the pro-life support for the Alabama abortion bill.
As if there weren’t enough liberals running for president, CNN senior editor Amanda Katz pulled another name out of the hat. Yesterday evening, Katz tweeted “Realistically, Bette Midler could never win the primary, but if she went head to head with Trump in the general he wouldn’t stand a chance.” At least she’s being realistic.
Whenever Miley Cyrus pops back into the news, the rest of the country appears a lot more wholesome in comparison. Today at 11:14 AM, while normal Americans were working for a living, Miley Cyrus tweeted out a picture of herself licking a cake that says “Aborton Is Healthcare.” Here’s a good rule of thumb: if Miley Cyrus is your political ally, you’re probably on the wrong side.
Just when you think lefty political elites couldn’t get more detached from reality, they take a trip to Neverland. According to The Guardian, the U.N. Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kate Gilmore believes that the “US policy on abortion is a form of extremist hate that amounts to the torture of women.” Supposedly, the pro-life bills that have passed across the country are indicative of a “crisis,” “organized and well-resourced by very extremist groups.” And by “extremist groups” she means “conservative, Christian organizations.”
Ever since her decision to go political back in October, Taylor Swift has chugged the entire pitcher of liberal Kool-aid. On Saturday, Swift posted a letter she wrote to Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander on her Instagram. The letter urged the Senator to support the Equality Act, an “anti-discrimination” bill that discriminates against religious views on traditional marriage and biological sex.
