Persistence Paid Off in Win for Life
June 29th, 2022 12:37 PM
There were times over the last 50 years when some pro-lifers felt they would never see Roe v. Wade overturned and the right to life again recognized by government. Many who never doubted didn’t live to see this day. They had marched in the cold streets of Washington, D.C., in January on Roe’s anniversary. These never-doubters included Nellie Gray, founder of the March for Life, Phyllis…
USA Today: There Is ‘No Simple Answer’ for Defining What Is a Woman
March 25th, 2022 4:01 PM
As part of the left’s relentless and stomach-churning attempt to redefine gender and sex, USA Today reacted in a piece Thursday to Republican Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn asking Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson to define “what is a woman” by insisting “science says there’s no simple answer” or “sufficient way” to identify whether someone’s a woman.
NY Times Veteran SCOTUS Scribe Loves Abortion, Loathes Justice Barrett
January 3rd, 2022 7:23 AM
Bad news, folks: Times columnist Linda Greenhouse finds today’s conservative-leaning Supreme Court severely disappointing. But even a liberal law professor thinks she’s going a bit overboard with her hostility. Greenhouse covered the Supreme Court as a reporter for 30 years (1978-2008). When she left the paper’s beat, she wrote “we have, most likely, the Supreme Court we deserve.”…
Vanity Fair: The Conservative Woman Is a 'Racist Gender Traitor’
July 30th, 2020 8:48 AM
In the July/August issue of Vanity Fair, contributor Sonia Saraiya wonders, “Is Hollywood Too Soft on Conservative Women?” It’s a ridiculous question to anyone remotely moderate or right-leaning who is familiar with pop culture, but it appears Saraiya thinks portraying conservative women as anything other than a “white nationalist racist gender traitor” is going too soft.
'Mrs. America' Finale Exposes Its Modern E.R.A. Ratification Agenda
May 27th, 2020 9:49 PM
FX on Hulu’s historical revisionism of Phyllis Schlafly and the battle over the Equal Rights Amendment is finally over. After Mrs. America portrayed her as cold, cruel, calculating, insincere, tolerant of racism, and supported by the KKK, it added “abusive” to friends and supporters to its litany of attacks. In addition to the parting shots at Schlafly, the finale exposed the real liberal agenda…
‘Mrs. America’ Imagines Conservative Defections from STOP ERA Cause
May 21st, 2020 12:15 AM
As the inevitable, real-life defeat of the Equal Rights Amendment nears, Mrs. America focused on the made-up defection of a devoted conservative woman. It also used a host of negative characterizations against the same woman (Alice).
The next to last episode, “Houston,” focused on the Women’s Convention that took place in 1977, but focused almost entirely on how the convention affected fictional…
'Mrs. America' Doubles Down on Ku Klux Klan Collusion Claims
May 13th, 2020 11:55 PM
Throughout the 1970s, people from the women’s liberation movement hurled many accusations of racism and even collusion with the Ku Klux Klan at conservative opponent Phyllis Schlafly.
The latest episode of Mrs. America from FX on Hulu, made those claims again in “Bella,” with one characters saying Schlafly was “in bed” with the Klan. However, the show fails to substantiate those claims. And…
Sexual Harassment Takes Back Seat to Abortion on 'Mrs. America'
May 6th, 2020 11:04 PM
Week after week Mrs. America spins the life and likeness of conservative leader Phyllis Schlafly. But there is one subject the FX on Hulu show is surprisingly honest about: the depiction of liberals prioritizing abortion over almost any other issue.
Liberal determination to enshrine a “right” to kill unborn babies appeared in multiple episodes including Wednesday’s episode “Jill,” where one…
Schlafly Marriage Demeaned, as ‘Mrs. America’ Glorifies Feminist One
April 29th, 2020 10:30 PM
Rather than a battle of the sexes, the latest Mrs. America episode was a battle of the marriages that crowned the radical feminists’ version superior. On one side, conservatives Fred and Phyllis Schlafly’s marriage. On the other, the “equal marriage” between liberals Brenda Feigen Fasteau and Marc Fasteau. Marc (played by Adam Brody) describes their marriage as “forged in the crucible of feminism…
‘Mrs. America’ Hurls Allegation of KKK Connection at Schlafly
April 23rd, 2020 12:17 AM
Feminist matriarch Betty Friedan may have never actually called Phyllis Schlafly “The real wicked witch of the [women’s] movement,” but that’s certainly how Mrs. America is portraying Schlafly in the new series.
‘Mrs. America’ Makes Conservative Schlafly A Cold ‘Antihero'
April 16th, 2020 1:50 AM
Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly remains a heroine to many conservatives. Clearly, she is not to the makers of Mrs. America, which debuted on FX on Hulu Wednesday.
From the start, Schlafly is shown pretending. She pastes a smile to walk a runway in a red, white and blue bikini at a Republican fundraiser. Once she’s safely facing backstage, the phony smile is dropped.
Hollywood Rags Dub 'Mrs. America' Schlafly ‘Slippery,’ ‘Polarizing'
January 10th, 2020 8:45 AM
On Thursday FX released a trailer for its upcoming series on Hulu Mrs. America about conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly’s fight against radical feminists and the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in the 1970s. You can tell, based on the video and coverage of it, where sympathies are supposed to lie.
Not So Marvelous: 'Mrs. Maisel' Calls Phyllis Schlafly 'Satan'
December 20th, 2019 6:00 AM
The first two seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel let issues of the 1960s speak for themselves. As a comedienne trying to be a working mother, and a Jewish woman at that, Miriam "Midge" Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) experienced scorn, discrimination, and mockery. They were never heavy handed about it, though.
Alli & Kat School Liberals: Stop Dancing on Phyllis Schlafly's Grave
September 8th, 2016 4:21 PM
While conservatives have spent the last week mourning Phyllis Schlafly’s death, liberals took to Twitter to personally attack the 92-year-old conservative hero.
