Tensions have risen as members of the infamous migrant caravan have attempted to storm ports of entry at the U.S.-Mexican border near San Diego. Despite news of undeterred migrants throwing rocks at and charging the U.S. gates, the lefties in Hollywood over the weekend took to social media to declare that our government’s response is what’s actually criminal and lawless.
During an interview with actress Kerry Washington on Monday’s Today show, co-host Craig Melvin asked the left-wing activist what it was like “raising children in the world that we live in now, in the country that we live in right now?” Predictably, Washington seized the chance to urge her fellow liberals to get out to vote in the midterm elections.
No amount of money or hyperbole is too high for Democrats attempting to wrest control of the House and Senate from Republicans. It is shaping up to be a tough fight. What seems to be giving lefties confidence though, is the fact that they have the cash and pretty smiles of Hollywood’s finest to back them up.
The new comedy The Oath couldn’t come at a better time. The Oct. 12 release follows a very liberal couple (Ike Barinholtz, Tiffany Haddish) as they welcome conservative family members to their home for Thanksgiving dinner. Do sparks fly? Try punches (and maybe more, according to the film’s rowdy trailer).
After seven seasons, ABC’s Scandal has finally aired its last episode. Over the course of 124 episodes, the Shonda Rhimes-produced series has pretty much covered every aspect of the liberal agenda. However, as the finale proves, there’s always time to squeeze in a little more, especially when it comes to knocking white male privilege and promoting gun control. I guess it’s better to go out with an insufferable bang than with an annoying whimper.
In a bit of self promotion and ideological promotion, ABC’s Nightline on Wednesday night hyped the season finale of Scandal. Co-host Juju Chang hailed star Kerry Washington’s Democratic advocacy: “But while she keeps her personal life personal, she does speak out publicly about issues like gun control and women's rights.
It only took fourteen episodes of the final season, but ABC’s Scandal has finally covered the #MeToo movement. The latest episode has Olivia and the other Gladiators working to expose the sexual offenders within Congress, because if there is anyone qualified to expose hidden sex perverts, it’s a Hollywood show.
Wowzer! Taking the low road against conservatives and the Trump administration is nothing new for Chelsea Handler to do on her weekly Netflix show. But, on the December 1 episode titled “Dinner Party: Scandalous,” the Chelsea host may have sunk to a new personal low. She went after White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a crudely personal way.
Awards are no longer recognition for the work of an artist. They are an excuse to give celebrities a pulpit to preach from about how the peasants should live.
Thursday on ABC’s The View, Scandal actress Kerry Washington appeared briefly to discuss the popular show’s final season. The show’s writers, along with Washington herself, have been outspoken critics of President Trump as well as advocates for abortion and Hillary Clinton. So the hosts were overjoyed with the opportunity to get their like-minded liberal guest to spout off on Trump and Republicans.
Abortion giant Planned Parenthood is a moral organization that saves lives, according to fans in Hollywood. And no, it’s not “speaking in opposites” day. On Sunday, Scandal star Tony Goldwyn publicized his support of America’s largest abortion provider. At Paleyfest, an entertainment media conference located in Los Angeles, Goldwyn wore a golden pin for “lifesaving” Planned Parenthood.
Scandal star Kerry Washington will help produce an upcoming film grappling with abortion – adding to her history of pushing the topic in Hollywood. On Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Washington will serve as co-producer for a Warner Brothers film adaptation of The Mothers, a New York Times best-seller by Brit Bennet. The star’s production company confirmed the news, tweeting, “so excited.”
