In the Hulu original series released March 15 and aptly titled Shrill, for how annoying it is, Saturday Night Live’s Aidy Bryant plays Annie, an overweight journalist who is trying to be more in touch with herself and find a healthy amount of self-esteem in her life to deal with her job, her parents, and her relationships.

Entertainment media continue to wage war on President Donald Trump and conservatives, with major networks, cable TV, and streaming services hurling insults and ignorant opinions at every opportunity. In February alone, at least 40 separate entertainment programs attacked conservative values and/or President Donald Trump while promoting a hardcore progressive agenda.  

Starz’s new sci-fi Millennial comedy Now Apocalypse premiered on Sunday and it had me thinking the title of the first episode “This Is the Beginning of the End” is too true. In just 30 minutes, pretty much every kind of sex and sexuality is shown: solo and mutual masturbation, heterosexual and homosexual sex, and even a form of bestiality.

Each year the Super Bowl features numerous side events, and last month's SB 53 in Atlanta included one designed to combat the so-called "problem" of sports providing a "homophobic space." On Monday, The New York Post’s Page Six reported that ABC’s Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts complained to The Cut magazine that her homosexuality created a “no win situation” [sic] for her ridiculous softball interview with Empire actor and accused hoaxer Jussie Smollett.

In two separate mediums on Wednesday, openly gay actress Ellen Page and actor Tyler Perry did their best to respectively downplay and defend the alleged hate crime hoax concocted, rehearsed, and carried out by Empire star Jesse Smollett with two Nigerian bodybuilders who had been his drug suppliers.

With the Jussie Smollett story having disintegrated into tiny pieces, Saturday’s Greg Gutfeld Show had plenty of material and the eponymous host put it to good use, dubbing Smollett, Sandmann, and former CBS correspondent Lara Logan “the three horsemen of the media apocalypse” while having Kat Timpf stage a faux seminar on how journalists make headlines biased.

Apparently last night’s Oscars weren’t woke enough for some devout lefties. Despite jokes at the expense of Donald Trump, several mentions of the plight of immigrants, and of course some race-baiting from director Spike Lee, Daily Beast writer Kevin Fallon claimed that the show “made the case for its own irrelevancy.”  

After Mika Brzezinski teased the upcoming segment with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel by saying the show would ask him about the Jussie Smollett incident, which took place in Chicago, the panel failed to ask Emanuel a single question about the matter.

On his eponymous Sunday morning show, CNN host Fareed Zakaria gave a three-minute commentary in which he bemoaned the increasing influence of evangelical Christians in Latin American countries as he fretted that they are thwarting the "progress" of a liberal agenda on abortion and gay rights.

There’s a very good reason 81 percent of Republicans have said they won’t watch Sunday night’s Academy Awards, according to a new poll. Hollywood is the Left Coast base of the anti-Trump resistance and over the years they have made their disdain for conservatives very clear. After all, last year’s Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel joked, “We don't make films for money. We make them to upset Mike Pence.”
