Rolling Stone gave liberal women in Congress the rock star treatment in their March issue, with glowing interviews and glamorous photo shoots. The “Women Shaping the Future” are Speaker Nancy Pelosi and "the new voices of the House" Reps. Jahana Hayes, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ilhan Omar.

According to Time Magazine, Veep star and former Seinfeld leading lady is a shining beacon of Hollywood feminine power, because — yeah you get it — she’s funny, beautiful, doesn’t take crap from no man, and has all the right liberal heroes. Oh and she also thinks Trump’s a “moron” too. This is the kind of stuff that gives her that “America’s Sweetheart” quality.

On February 25, the the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act failed to earn the 60 votes needed to pass the U.S. Senate. For many, including the bill’s sponsor, Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska, there was shock as well as sadness. How could 60 Senators fail to pass a bill protecting already born babies from infanticide, especially when it should have been all 100 Senators doing so?

The New York Times ran an op-ed on February 26 with the provocative title “I Didn’t Kill My Baby.” However, the reader quickly learns that, although the contention in the title is correct, there’s no reason for it to be asserted other than to muddy the waters between abortion and an infant dying of natural causes, which are two completely different things morally, ethically, and legally.

The good thing about the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act is that it is very straightforward, there’s little wiggle room for the media’s typical machinations and euphemisms when it comes to abortion. The media has to be honest about what the bill is and what it does, which is why they like to take the focus off it and make the story about President Trump and Republicans.

Apparently last night’s Oscars weren’t woke enough for some devout lefties. Despite jokes at the expense of Donald Trump, several mentions of the plight of immigrants, and of course some race-baiting from director Spike Lee, Daily Beast writer Kevin Fallon claimed that the show “made the case for its own irrelevancy.”  

Director Spike Lee won his first Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for "BlacKkKlansman" and he took the occasion to be the first one to really get political at the 91st Academy Awards on ABC.

There’s a very good reason 81 percent of Republicans have said they won’t watch Sunday night’s Academy Awards, according to a new poll. Hollywood is the Left Coast base of the anti-Trump resistance and over the years they have made their disdain for conservatives very clear. After all, last year’s Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel joked, “We don't make films for money. We make them to upset Mike Pence.”

The Oscars are this weekend and while we’re not insisting that you care to tune in — we’d refrain too if we could — maybe it’d be somewhat important to spare you the mystery and inform you that this year’s awards is serving up another seven-layer slice of progressive obsession.

Network television show writers are nothing if not predictable. It seems it is impossible to write an episode of primetime programming without reverting to far right stereotypes in order to portray white men as violent, hateful bigots.
