Anti-Religious Bias

Bob Corker, the outgoing Republican senator from Tennessee, recently compared supporters of President Trump to members of a cult. The Washington Post quoted Corker as saying: “It's becoming a cultish thing, isn't it? It's not a good place for any party to end up with a cult-like situation as it relates to a president that happens to be of -- purportedly -- of the same party.”

On Tuesday, MSNBC hosts and correspondents displayed their religious intolerance by attacking the faith of potential Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. During one hour after another, Barrett’s membership in a faith group was ridiculed and listed as one of her “potential weaknesses” in a Senate confirmation fight.

CNN’s The Lead spent almost six minutes on Tuesday discussing the Supreme Court’s ruling on President Trump’s travel ban with Minnesota Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison, but host Jake Tapper turned the tables on Ellison by grilling him for the remaining five minutes on his ties to anti-gay, anti-Semitic, and sexist Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. 

Monday on Cuomo Primetime, former Republican Senator Rick Santorum called out CNN host Chris Cuomo on his "intellectual dishonesty." Cuomo tried to compare White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, being asked to leave the Red Hen restaurant last week to the Masterpiece Cakeshop court case in which a Christian baker refused to specifically bake a wedding cake for a gay couple.

AMC’s Preacher is back, and it looks like it’s proceeding right on schedule. Already in the season three premiere, we’re kicking things off with the return of another outrageous and offensive image of God. At this rate, we’ll probably be scraping the bottom of the barrel by the Fourth of July.

Tuesday night, TVLand’s normally apolitical sitcom Teachers joined the ranks of TV shows ridiculing religious people. In the episode, “Of Lice and Men,” public school teacher Mary Louise (Katie O’Brien) walks in on her pastor masturbating to a picture of her boyfriend.

On Saturday's AM Joy show, MSNBC viewers were treated to the latest in a recent string of Bible-thumping on the liberal news network to promote left-wing policy as anti-evangelical Christian activist Frank Schaeffer excoriated pro-Donald Trump white Christians as "pimps of evil" who are "Jesus-hating," and need to "repent" by voting against President Trump in the future.

The comfortable victory by pro-choice abortion forces in Ireland was widely reported last month. But what is less known is the active role social media networks such as Google, Facebook and YouTube played during the electoral process, and its impact on the results.  

We’re hardly halfway through 2018, and entertainment television has already given us heaps of liberal propaganda before we've even started our summer vacations. If the first five months were any indication, we’re in for a long year filled with race-baiting, Christian-bashing, and ever-growing Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The latest episode of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale comes up with a new way to twist the words of the Bible into their own depraved interpretation. This time, they justify violence against women at their hands of their own husbands. It just goes to show, never trust Hollywood to quote Scripture.

The highest court in the land sided with Phillips because the Colorado Civil Rights Commission subjected him to what could be argued was anti-religious bigotry. But despite the historic nature of the ruling, broadcast network news outlets ABC and NBC were more relieved that the ruling had a “limited” scope and seemingly only applied to this one case.

Don’t you love it when lefties lecture you about your own Christian faith, twisting the words of Christ in an attempt to guilt you out of your own morals and standards? Reacting to Monday’s massive, 7-2 ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in favor of the Christian bakers with Masterpiece Cakeshop, CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin went into full-blown panic mode, claiming that “[t]his is certainly an invitation to people who discriminate against gay people” and opens the door to Jim Crow-like discrimination against interracial and interfaith couples.
