Not wanting to be outdone by its fellow DC program Supergirl, CW’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has apparently decided to jump on the political train by introducing a new character to their cast: a Muslim hactivist from a dystopian future. If you think that’s a load of political posturing, then you would be right.

ABC’s The Mayor continues to lower my expectations by falling from a semi-decent comedy to another run-of-the-mill left-leaning political sideshow. Just when it manages to be passable, the show reminds me just what side of the political spectrum they cater for weekly. This time, it’s a costumed appearance of people’s favorite “new” member of the Resistance Congresswoman Maxine Waters.

Mistake-prone ESPN just keeps making one bad decision after another. The list of errors in judgment is rapidly growing and badly damaging the sports network. In recent days ESPN finally got around to correcting its two latest mistakes: 1) suspending Sports Center co-anchor Jemele Hill for inappropriate tweets and 2) and ending a brief partnership with Barstool Sports.

Some people express their controversial support for others in bizarre ways. Girls’ Lena Dunham was apparently thrilled to discover that ESPN’s Jemele Hill was following her on Twitter, and announced to her followers: “Holy shit @jemelehill following me is like finding out definitively that God is here and she reads your blog. Fan dance.”  

The left enjoys discord on the right -- Never Trumpers vs. MAGAs, congress vs. the president, etc. But grab some popcorn and have a quick look at how things are playing out on the liberal side.  

The third season of Amazon’s Red Oaks aired October 20th in six thirty-minute episodes. A comedy series, it is a quick binge that is actually enjoyable. In today’s entertainment world, finding something fun to watch can feel like chasing a unicorn.

Harry Belafonte once called Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice house slaves and called for Obama’s opponents to be jailed. So if October 20th really was the singer and activist’s “last public appearance,” our national discourse should be getting a whole lot healthier.

There is no such thing as culture or greatness in modern society. It’s all based on wealth and power. The New York Times Style magazine, T, released it’s list of “The Greats” on October 22. While it makes sense to list lyricist Stephen Sondheim and other artists and novelists, at least in some way, there seemed to be no rhyme or reason for honoring rapper Nicki Minaj in the same list.

Let the record show that after more than two seasons, CW’s Supergirl has not only lost the art of subtlety but consistency as well. The latest episode gives us the usual biased drivel covering homosexuality, Mexicans, and, somehow, Trump’s wall. Get ready for some trouble in liberal paradise.

Sunday, October 22’s episode of Fox’s comedy The Last Man on Earth, titled “Wisconsin,” featured an extremely uncomfortable scene between main character Tandy (Will Forte) and Jasper, played by child actor Keith L. Williams. The series takes place in the future after a virus wipes out most of the earth’s population, leaving only a handful of survivors behind.
