A Wednesday panel discussion on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports tried to answer the question of whether a woman can get elected president. The subject began as a result of an article written by MSNBC contributor Lisa Lerer at The New York Times and the Vogue photo shoot that included the all of the Democratic women running for President with the exception of Marianne Williamson.

So much for "inclusion." Vogue has posted a new interview with five female presidential candidates by New York Times reporter/feminist Amy Chozick. Marianne Williamson is missing -- Chozick didn't interview her, and she wasn't at the Annie Liebovitz photo shoot. Even the headline wasn't inclusive: "Madam President? Five Candidates on What It Will Take to Shatter the Most Stubborn Glass Ceiling."

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert devoted his entire opening monologue Thursday night to weighing in on the Democratic debate. From his perspective, the night had a clear winner: Kamala Harris. In addition to repeatedly praising Harris, Colbert trashed Republicans as racist and ignorant multiple times; including by covertly comparing them to the Ku Klux Klan.

Telemundo analyst Maria Elena Salinas joined MSNBC Live guest host Chris Jansing and Neera Tanden of Think Progress in Miami on Thursday to offer some thoughts on Wednesday's Democratic Debate. During the segment one could hardly tell the difference between the President of Think Progress and the one who claims to be a journalist.

It is officially election season and the time for cordiality in the Democratic Primary will soon come to an end. With the first debate set to go down Wednesday night, the candidates will quickly be chasing the Democratic nomination like a pack of hungry wolverines in pursuit of the opportunity to run against President Trump.

Over a two-week period ahead of the first set of 2020 Democratic debates (June 10 – 23), NBC Nightly News ran a daily series they dubbed “My Big Idea,” in which they provided a platform to aid the candidates in reaching the public with their policy proposals. The pandering depths to which presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand will sink are so hilariously low that even a left-leaning publication such as Atlantic magazine finds it impossible to avoid her desperation. We can see that Gillibrand stands out even in a large field of Democrat candidates noted for going into extreme pander mode.

The New York Times was the toast of the Democrats for an article on an opinion survey with this provocative title: "Tuition or Dinner? Nearly Half of  College Students Surveyed in a New Report Are Going Hungry. Many routinely skip meals and take ‘poverty naps’ because they cannot afford groceries." National Review tore this survey apart. 

Batman might be fighting Superman at your local cinema, but the movie’s writers and actors are politically united behind the left. Together, they gave $58,000 to liberal PACs and Democrats since 2002, but not a cent to Republicans. Actor Ben Affleck was the biggest liberal donor involved with the film.

Appearing on Tuesday's NBC Today as part of its Vatican coverage of Pope Francis's installation mass, former correspondent Maria Shriver offered a report that urged the Catholic Church to allow female priests: "Catholic women, and nuns in particular....cannot be ordained, they cannot say Mass and they cannot vote for the pope.
