On Thursday, the broadcast networks kept up their crusade to push Facebook into censoring political speech by celebrating Twitter’s move to ban all political ads from its social media platform. The reporters on NBC, ABC, and CBS weren’t alone in their joy, touting how “Democrats largely praised” the move as well.

In what looked more like a dystopian episode of Sesame Street than serious news coverage, during the 1:00 p.m. ET hour on Wednesday, MSNBC hyped Democrats following the “ABCs of impeachment” to go after President Trump. Liberal talking points were followed to letter, literally, as the segment detailed all of Trump’s alleged impeachable offenses.

The broadcast networks once again showed that they relied heavily on Democratic leaks and talking points to build out their impeachment coverage. Appearing on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday to promote his new book, The Fall of Richard Nixon, former Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw complained that unlike the impeachment proceedings against Nixon being treated “very seriously,” the impeachment inquiry against President Trump was “like a television game show.”

Filling in for Stephanie Ruhle during MSNBC’s 9:00 a.m. ET hour on Monday, anchor Chris Jansing worked to downplay President Trump’s “biggest foreign policy win so far” with the killing of ISIS terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a successful U.S. military raid by claiming that the operation revealed “the flaws in Trump’s foreign policy” and only happened “despite” him.

On her 12:00 p.m. ET hour on Friday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell derisively dismissed the Justice Department’s criminal investigation into the origins of the Russia probe as a politically motivated inquiry that was “elevating what had been widely denounced as a conspiracy theory.”

The China/NBA debacle rolls on, this time involving a verbal spat between Vice President Mike Pence and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley. The “Round Mound of Rebound” is touchy over criticism that his former league won’t risk money to call out the human rights abuses of the Chinese communist government, becoming instead the “Round Mound of ‘Shut the Hell Up.’”

On Friday, all three network morning shows rushed to dismiss the newly revealed criminal investigation into the origins of the Russia probe as nothing more than “political revenge” against President Trump’s “enemies.” Hosts and correspondents dutifully stuck to Democratic Party talking points trashing the inquiry, coming just shy of labeling it a “witch hunt.”

To show their frustration with the shady way House Democrats were conducting their partisan impeachment crusade, Senator Lindsey Graham (SC) led 41 other Republican Senators in writing a resolution demanding transparency and fairness. But ABC and NBC ignored and minimized their efforts while claiming congressional Republicans were actually angry with President Trump.

On Thursday's New Day, CNN analysts Jeffrey Toobin and Bianna Golodryga went negative on Republican members of Congress who decided to protest the House Democrats' secluded investigation of President Donald Trump over the Ukraine issue. Legal analyst Toobin declared that they looked like "such jerks," and global affairs analyst Golodryga dismissed House Republicans as a "bunch of white men."
