South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg is the next version of Barack Obama and not in a good way. He is adored by the media for his charisma, left-wing politics, purported intelligence, and would be another "first" if he were elected. Perhaps nowhere is the Mayor Pete Fan Club better personified better than MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski.

Reacting to the Bernie Sanders town hall on Fox News, Morning Joe praises FNC for opening the door to different points of view. DNC chairman Tom Perez is criticized for prohibiting FNC from conducting a Dem presidential debate. And panel members praise as fair FNC personalities Bret Baier, Martha McCallum, Chris Wallace, Bill Hemmer, and Shep Smith.

As if it somehow sank the conservative agenda or upended a Fox News narrative, the ABC and CBS Tuesday evening news programs hailed the heavily Democratic Fox News town hall audience that cheered for Bernie Sander’s Medicare for All healthcare plan.

MSNBC’s Hardball took quite a bizarre turn on Tuesday when far-left MSNBC contributor Zerlina Maxwell attempted to sing the praises of colleague Malcolm Nance when fellow panelist Andrew Sullivan blurted out “Jesus Lord” in disgust that Maxwell (or presumably anyone) would cite such a “complete fantasist” who “spreads so many conspiracy theories and nonsense.”

Cable news continued hailing Democrat Mayor Pete Buttigieg as the second coming Tuesday after he officially tossed his hat in the ring for President, Monday. Over at MSNBC, “center-right” columnist for the New York Times, David Brooks touted Buttigieg as the anti-Trump that America needed right now, in the wake of the “moral and spiritual crisis” that President Trump had created.

Host Andrea Mitchell praised his “pretty smart” decision to go after Vice President Mike Pence while wondering if Buttigieg was “less threatening” than a female candidate.

South Bend, Indiana mayor, Pete Buttigieg (D) was set to formally announce his candidacy for president on Sunday and ABC’s Good Morning America completely bought into the hype and tried to amplify it. According to co-host Whit Jonson, the network sent chief national correspondent Matt Gutman to South Bend to “look at Mayor Pete and the momentum he's building.”

Nothing controversial here. CBS This Morning co-hosts on Thursday breezily questioned 2020 presidential candidate Jay Inslee, offering little in the way of challenges to the Washington governor's plans to end the filibuster and the electoral college and to have Medicare for all. Instead, the journalists offered softballs with little skepticism.
