The USA Network show The Purge, based off the horror movie franchise of the same title, can never be accused of subtlety. It continues to push a liberal agenda in the second episode, this time blaming small government for the Purge.

Most people would instinctively dismiss the idea that a Hollywood veteran of more than 50 films could be a President Trump supporter. But Academy Award winning actor Jon Voight has always stood out in that regard, and in an emotional interview with Fox News’ Mark Levin on Sunday he choked up while recounting a heartfelt chat he had with a conservative actress concerning the 45th president.

Remember when liberals in the media disdained everything about the Catholic Church? Simpler times. Then Pope Francis came along and muddied things. He talks about climate change, castigates capitalism and plays verbal footsie with lefty Catholic hobby-horse issues like divorce and gay acceptance. This Francis guy, they think, might be one of us.

The cable network Freeform has announced that it is putting together a Party of Five reboot. For fans of the 90s classic, this sounds like good news, though they should know that it’s not quite the show they grew up with. Freeform’s twist on this all-American family is that it’s being replaced by a Mexican immigrant family whose parents have been deported.

In our latest visit to left-wing firebrand Dave Zirin, red meat sports editor of The Nation, we learn that Nike is unfit to brand the exalted prince of social justice activism, Colin Kaepernick. The conservatives he considers unfit, period, got a passing mention in this screed, as Zirin cut Nike down to size. It's all about Kaepernick and not about the Nike swoosh logo.

Fans of Chelsea Handler and Michelle Wolf should rejoice. While Netflix had the good sense to cancel those shows, Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman has somehow returned despite a horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad first season. For a show that claims to “love” America, it sure hates a good part of it.
