Showtime’s new comedy I’m Dying Up Here premiered on Sunday, June 4. The show, produced by Jim Carrey, centers around a group of up and coming comics trying to become successful in the 1970s. Right off the bat, the show dove into the controversial topic of abortion, with the comic applauding the legalization of abortion. He encourages all the men to cheer, saying, "That's a big win for us, too."

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards was a guest on Netflix’s Chelsea in the episode titled “Changing the Climate” which aired on June 1, 2017. In the world of entertainment, if a single woman faces an unplanned pregnancy after sleeping with a man she barely knew and that man ends up dying and thus can’t help her support the baby, and her parents are “church people” who she fears may judge her, abortion is almost always the automatic answer given as a solution to her dilemma.

Many in the media race to label conservatives fighting for the unborn as “extreme.” But when it comes time to report on liberals pushing for taxpayer-funded abortion or Democrat-mandated abortion support, the media refrain from name-calling and, oftentimes, from covering the story at all.

Oprah’s show Greenleaf, a drama featuring a Christian “megachurch” and the fallible humans behind it, has been all over the map when it comes to representing Christian values accurately.
