Conceited CNN host Jake Tapper was supposedly a journalist, but has proven himself to be a liberal activist. Tapper concluded Sunday’s State of the Union by lashing out at congressional Republicans and those within the Trump administration by declaring history will remember them as "villains." A couple of people writing at The Atlantic magazine see a fantastic silver lining in the current coronavirus outbreak. Jack Goldsmith and Andrew Keane Woods see the pandemic as a great opportunity to bring about more censorship along with surveillance of the public as they exulted on Saturday in "What COVID-19 Revealed About the Internet."

In the 100 days since the coronavirus epidemic began to receive significant news coverage, The Washington Post has used its front page to undermine the administration’s response to the unprecedented crisis, with dozens of headlines flagrantly editorializing against the President and nearly everyone on his team.

It is unreal to watch. Supposedly sensible adults in the national media deliberately - say again deliberately - twisting the words of the President of the United States in the middle of a national emergency. Donald Trump: akin to a homicidal cult leader? Yup, if you believe Joy Reid's guest this morning, MSNBC analyst Dr. Irwin Redlener. Calling President Trump a "cult leader," Redlener said that his: "cultish following reminds me of Jim Jones and the Koolaid and all that horrible stuff."

As COVID-19 deaths continue to rise, MSNBC's Brian Williams and historian Douglas Brinkley wondered on Friday night's The 11th Hour why President Trump doesn't seem to care.

Friday afternoon, CNN melted down into a panel of juvenile performance artists, spending over 15 minutes screeching President Trump’s remarks Thursday and a Friday follow-up about disinfectants and sunlight as a “dangerous,” “double speak,” “idiotic,” “ludicrous,” “Soviet fashion,” and “a waste of time” (even though CNN was harping on it hourly).
