Anti-Religious Bias

With storylines about gender-curious gerbils and killer clowns, American Horror Story: Cult has been pretty off-the-wall but, in the October 24 episode "Winter of Our Discontent," they managed to go off the deep end. The episode had everything, from a Nazi cop, to an incestual threesome, to a woman bleeding to death from an abortion.

Kenneth Stern, a former CEO at National Public Radio, has a shocking new book out called Republican Like Me. After spending extensive time with conservatives, Stern realized that the media is reporting from inside a bubble. He summarized his discoveries in the New York Post.

  In an exhausting, insane monologue Thursday evening, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell spent over twenty minutes opening his show ranting and raving about White House Chief of Staff John Kelly’s press briefing earlier that day. O’Donnell presented Wilson as a saint, and characterized General Kelly as a racist who “dehumanized” a “black woman” because he hates people who are not “like him.”

The first episode of Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman featured awful humor combined with full-frontal nudity all in the name of unity. Surely it can’t get any lower than that. While the nudity level is significantly lower, I have to say that this episode is sadly worse.

ABC’s American Housewife has shown a lot of potential to be a good show in its second season after bashing conservatives in its first. It’s been refreshing to hear jokes that are actually funny and not loaded with a political agenda.
