2020 Democrat candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana appeared for the third time on The View, Thursday, since announcing his run for president. While he was mostly treated to softball questions from the left, he was also surprisingly pressed to explain how he was going to win over Democrat and swing voters who didn’t believe in same-sex marriage and abortion.

On her MSNBC show, Joy Reid suggests to Pete Buttigieg that his use of "heartland" in a tweet was a "dog whistle to white voters." It's like MSNBC during the Obama years feeling the word "Chicago" was a dog whistle word. 

Four years ago, polls declared that Hillary Clinton would win the White House in a landslide. As you might expect, the folks who conducted those surveys have been trying to regain their standing ever since. The most abused adjective in political reporting is the label “centrist.” It should tell you everything about the politician. Unfortunately it tells us far more about those applying the label. Reporters call Democrats "centrist" when they have an American Conservative Union score of five percent. This tells you where journalists are located on the political spectrum. It's one of the oldest moves in the liberal media's playbook: trying to pass off liberal Democrat candidates as "moderates." CNN played the game this morning . . . but an interesting Democrat actually reminded viewers of the truth: that the so-called "moderates" are actually to the left of where Barack Obama was when he first ran for president.  

PBS NewsHour anchor Judy Woodruff turned to liberal pundit Mark Shields on Friday and said time may be running out for Democrats to impeach without interfering with the primaries early next year. Then Shields said something weird about Pete Buttigieg. It was a product placement for PBS. Buttigieg is a regular Mister Rogers!
