Though not as over-the-top as NBC following President Biden’s Wednesday night address to Congress, CBS made sure viewers knew they were thoroughly behind his speech, calling it a speech consisting of “a broad, bold new plan” for America built on “bipartisan appeal,” lowering “the temperature,” and “simplicity” even though it was “very progressive.”

President Joe Biden’s first speech to a joint session of Congress on April 28 was completely devoid of substance, and filled with cheap platitudes intended to get slow-witted Americans to consent to even bigger government. Of course, Hollywood loved the hell out of it.

In contrast to how they reacted to President Trump’s first address to Congress, NBC News was over the moon at President Biden’s remarks before a joint session, calling it a “remarkable speech” filled with a “very popular agenda” and given by a President who “rose to the moment that we were facing as a country” with supposedly little opposition from Republicans.

Showing they were so enthralled with President Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress before he even said a word, ABC and NBC had already started on Wednesday night gushing over his plans, bringing out movie trailer-like opens and boasting of his “hope for an America returning to normal” filled with an agenda that’s extremely “popular” with all Americans.
