January 15th, 2015 11:59 AM
During an interview with Senator Marco Rubio on Tuesday, PBS host Charlie Rose urged the Florida Republican to say something positive about ObamaCare: "What's the best thing you can say about the Affordable Care Act?" Rubio replied: "That it's forced us to have a debate about health insurance in America." Rose fretted: "That's it?"
'Klansville USA' PBS Documentary Takes Cheap Shot at Republicans
January 14th, 2015 1:15 PM
"Klansville U.S.A." is a PBS American Experience production by WPBS in Boston based on a book of that title by David Cunningham. It is an interesting look at the rise and fall of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan in the 1960s. A very good historical documentary marred by the jarring flaw of taking a cheap shot at Republicans.

January 12th, 2015 10:34 PM
On Monday, ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir and the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley did their best to move on from the Obama administration’s decision to not have President Obama, Vice President Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry, or Attorney General Eric Holder attend the march against Islamic terrorism in Paris on Sunday that drew well over one million people.
All told, ABC ran…

Throughout the hour long special, Frontline reporter Jim Gilmore highlighted several mass…
WashPost Toasts Bill Moyers, 'Living Totem' of 'Alleged Leftward Bias'
January 2nd, 2015 12:55 PM
The Washington Post celebrated the latest retirement announcement of longtime PBS omnipresence Bill Moyers (we'll believe it when he's gone for a year). The headline is "A crusader's quiet farewell." That's polite code for "declining in relevance."
Post media reporter Paul Farhi noted that PBS and Moyers are tightly wound in the brand: "Except for stints in commercial broadcasting (CBS News from…

Liberal PBS Pundit Mark Shields Slams Obama for Dumping Chuck Hagel
November 29th, 2014 4:11 PM
On Friday’s PBS NewsHour, the Shields and Brooks week-in-review segment began with mutual sensitivity about the Ferguson situation – the word or concept of riots never quite emerged.
But what was really surprising was liberal Mark Shields unloading on the Obama White House over the dumping of Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, which anchor Judy Woodruff tried to soft-pedal as Hagel “steps down.”
Tavis Smiley Ignores Folk Singer’s Sex Offense History
November 21st, 2014 1:44 PM
What’s worse than spending a half-hour revisiting the 60s with some old beatniks and their guitars? Spending that half-hour tip-toeing around the fact that one of them is a convicted sex offender.
On Nov. 18, PBS’ Tavis Smiley hosted Peter Yarrow and Noel “Paul” Stookey on his self-named show, the surviving members of the folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary. Smiley's entire interview ignored Yarrow's…

Bozell & Graham Column: Enabling the Delusional Democrats
November 18th, 2014 10:49 PM
After the 2012 campaign, liberal journalists swarmed around Republican Party chair Reince Priebus offering what was called an “autopsy” on every way Republicans failed, with a special emphasis on more outreach to minority voters. Democrats and their media enablers painted a picture of demographic doom for an aging white Republican base.
Two years later, Republicans made dramatic gains among…

November 18th, 2014 12:02 PM
NPR and PBS have finally touched the Gruber brouhaha, but neither showed any enthusiasm for it. On Sunday morning’s Weekend Edition, anchor Rachel Martin and reporter Mara Liasson dismissed it in 59 seconds.
On the PBS NewsHour Monday, anchor Judy Woodruff brought in two liberal journalists to discuss Gruber, but first Woodruff asked six questions about how open enrollment was going.
On NPR, David Brooks Warns Obama Against 'Ted Cruz' Moment on Amnesty
November 16th, 2014 8:18 AM
Pseudo-conservative New York Times columnist David Brooks -- appointed by both NPR and PBS to agree with liberals from the "Republican" side of the political divide on Friday-night "week in review" panels -- is back to bashing Ted Cruz, even though after the election, he admitted Republicans weren't too extreme to win all over the place.
Brooks was bashing Obama with the worst cudgel he could…

Gruber, Confirmed In White House Logs: Obama Discussed Tax Subterfuge
November 13th, 2014 8:22 PM
I think this makes six videos (CNN says they have Number 4, and I believe this is Number 5) of Obamacare co-architect Jonathan Gruber giving away the Obama administration's comprehensively deceptive game in drafting and promoting the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.
The most relevant 40-second snip is at the YouTube account and a Thursday afternoon post by the indispensable Jim Hoft at…
