March provided television viewers and streaming platform binge-watchers another heavy dose of Trump hate. At least another 40 separate entertainment programs, on major networks, cable TV, and popular streaming platforms continued their vicious anti-Trump propaganda. What once might have been shocking is all too commonplace for a media in the later stages of Trump Derangement syndrome.

CBS This Morning on Monday offered a gushing interview to fellow reporters from Politico about the players in Capitol Hill. While Donald Trump is in step of “chaos,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the “steady” hand and the “adult in the room. Politico correspondent Anna Palmer spun the President as having “reverence and respect” for the Congressional Democrat. 

On Monday, all three network morning shows reveled in Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen announcing her resignation with relieved reporting about her “tumultuous tenure” at the department being over and touting Democrats blasting the Trump cabinet official. Correspondents fretted over who would replace Nielsen as they bid her “good riddance.”

Given the very few job gains in February and rampant media speculation in March about a coming recession, it was essential that all three evening news shows update their audiences about jobs and unemployment April 5. But not all of them did.

Talk about fake history. CBS Sunday Morning did a story on the Reconstruction era after the Civil War and former slaves who entered Congress in the 1870s. The visuals for the CBS segment used the political “red and blue” state graphics. But instead of following actual history, the network made the slave-holding Confederates red and the Union states blue. 

The Late Show host Stephen Colbert delighted Wednesday night as his guest, actor John Lithgow, read aloud some anti-Trump poetry from his upcoming book Dumpty: The Age of Trump in Verse. The book features a collection of “doggerel, satirical poems” written by Lithgow that serve as a “kind of chronicle of the last crazy two years.”

Does loyalty to a resistance group full of Trump-hating liberal women overrule disapproval of ugly, aggressive tactics against a conservative Country-Western singer’s transitioning sister? Yes, apparently it does if you are an unhinged leftist.

Late Wednesday night, both The New York Times and The Washington Post released dubiously sourced reports suggested that members of the Special Counsel told other people (and in some cases, those people then told other people) that Attorney General William Barr’s letter Congress was not truthful. Despite interviews earlier in the week with two women accusing Virginia’s Democratic Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault, on Thursday, CBS This Morning worried that holding a public hearing on allegations would “just be a political stunt” by state Republicans. The report also took time to tout Fairfax passing polygraph tests when asked about the claims.

Stacey Abrams has a knack for fiction. These days, her skill manifests mostly in her refusal to admit she lost the Georgia governor’s race fair and square. But once upon a time, her creative outlet was authoring smutty books. We know this only because during Wednesday night’s The Late Show, Stephen Colbert decided to poke some mild fun at Abrams by reading “steamy” excerpts from the politician’s…

After CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King complained on Wednesday about having to cover former Vice President Joe Biden’s questionable behavior toward women, she doubled down on Thursday, mourning the “sad conversation” taking place about the 2020 Democrat’s handsy tendencies. The other hosts joined in, even giving testimonials about Biden’s character.

In spite of growing wages, extremely low unemployment and nearly 3 percent economic growth in 2018, the liberal media are becoming obsessed with recession. It didn’t matter that CFOs were confident the U.S. economy “will not experience a recession” in 2019. They were fixated by recession prospects in March anyway. Every. Single. Day.

Despite their own reporting from earlier in the week explaining how Border Patrol was swamped and at a breaking point that they had to detain dozens of illegal immigrants in an area under an overpass, Wednesday’s CBS Evening News decried the administration’s “remain in Mexico” program for those seeking asylum.

The CBS This Morning crew on Tuesday and Wednesday again expressed irritation about having to cover man accused of doing questionable things to a woman. This time it wasn’t their colleague Charlie Rose, but Democrat Joe Biden. Co-host Gayle King said she had seen a lot of “eye rolls” at the claims of unwanted touching by Biden. She weirdly added that the allegations “make my teeth hurt.”
