Showtime’s Stand-Up Show Mocks Sacrament of Confession

Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here proves it’s not offering any new material by once again bashing Christianity. It’s only fitting, I suppose, since the show is based in the 1970's that its jokes feel that old. This week, the show attempts to give us tasteless and disparaging humor about one of the sacraments of Catholicism.

Trump's AG Demands Search of FBI Employee Emails, Texts on 'Billions'

Showtime’s Billions continues its vendetta against Attorney General Jeff Sessions by characterizing its Jeff-Sessions parody character, Attorney General Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat (Clancy Brown), as a man who “recognizes no legal or moral authority, no justice but his own” and deserves “assassination."

MSNBC Misleadingly Suggests a Doubling of Whites Killing Minorities

Over several days since Thursday, the same MSNBC that ignored reports of some Democratic members of Congress having ties to Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan, have been working in overdrive to highlight a handful of white supremacist political candidates who are running for office as Republicans but most likely will never be elected.

Revolving Door Swings Wide Open as NBC Hires Ben Rhodes

There isn't enough room in a single post for all of the contempt and ridicule NBC's latest hiring move deserves. WSJ’s Noonan Scolds Tur: Downplaying Bee’s ‘Obscene Personal Attack'

While the segment was pitched as a conversation about the double standard in how liberals get away with what conservatives would be run out of town for, they didn’t actually get around to that part. But the panel on Sunday’s Meet the Press did unload on both Roseanne Barr and Samantha Bee for their disgusting and deranged behavior. And when NBC’s Katy Tur tried to downplay Bee’s misogynist smear…

NYT’s Selective Respect for Religion in Praise of Head-Scarf Student

The New York Times featured a university student in France who has become a liberal hero by embracing a tenet of fundamentalist Islam in the form of a headscarf. It’s jarring to read a Times article so gung-ho in support of a sign of religious fundamentalism, and which criticizes the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo without mentioning the massacre of 12 of its employees by radical…

During Thursday’s edition of CNN’s At This Hour with Kate Bolduan, CNN commentator Keith Boykin went on a rant against President Trump, saying “Donald Trump exists to divide us. Everything he does is divisive.” Boykin also effectively blamed President Trump for comedian Samantha Bee’s decision to refer to his daughter Ivanka as a “c***”: “I think the larger point here that is missing is the…

AP on Record-Low Black Jobless Rate: 'Taking Chances' on the 'Ignored'

In his coverage of Friday morning's stellar jobs report, the Associated Press's Chris Rugaber came up with a couple of doozies aimed at curbing readers' enthusiasm. The AP economics writer half-expected that employers would rein in their hiring over confrontational rhetoric President Donald Trump and other foreign leaders have recently engaged in over trade and tariffs. He also implausibly framed…

Brian Williams Says Trump's Pardons May Resemble a 'Mob Movie'

On his 11th Hour show on MSNBC on Thursday night, disgraced former NBC anchor Brian Williams suggested Donald Trump's pardons had a "mob movie" feel. Imagine Brian saying that about Bill Clinton's pardons, or Barack Obama's.
