The show mocked Hillary’s reliance on political advisors and scripted sound bites.

Nets Mostly Ignore Criminal Past of Charlotte Police Shooting Victim

September 28th, 2016 11:07 PM
After revelations that Keith Lamont Scott not only spent time in prison for shooting someone, but that he was also accused by his wife last year of violent behavior and of threatening her and her son with a gun, the networks have mostly been silent on the developments that would help discredit accusations that the police planted a gun on Scott after shooting him. Out of the morning and evening…

New York Magazine Writer: Lester Holt Wrong on 'Stop and Frisk'

September 28th, 2016 7:03 PM
Lester Holt was wrong on the subject of "stop and frisk" during Monday's presidential debate. Is that criticism coming from supporters of Donald Trump? Yes but, more importantly, it is also coming from liberal sources as well including Ed Kilgore of the not exactly Trump-friendly New York Magazine.  You can see Holt make his claim about "stop and frisk" being ruled unconstitutional in the video…

Liberal Pundit: GOPers Can’t Handle the Truth (of Debate Fact-Checks)

September 28th, 2016 5:18 PM
Unlike a lot of his fellow liberals, Jonathan Chait doesn’t believe presidential-debate moderators should be on-camera fact-checkers, but Chait’s reason for opposing the idea is unambiguously anti-conservative. In an item posted a few hours prior to Monday night’s Clinton-Trump clash, Chait argued that the way Republicans dealt with Candy Crowley’s intervention in a 2012 Romney-Obama debate “…

Bozell on Holt: How Could He Not Have Asked About Hillary Scandals?

September 27th, 2016 10:56 PM
Following three Fox Business Network (FBN) appearances in the past 24 hours reacting to the presidential debate, Media Research Center president Brent Bozell ended Tuesday on the Fox News Channel’s The Kelly File by again wondering where debate moderator Lester Holt was in fact-checking and asking follow-up questions of Hillary Clinton as he did with Donald Trump.

Bozell & Graham Column: Lester Holt Learns His Lauer Lesson

September 27th, 2016 10:39 PM
Washington Post political correspondent Chris Cillizza should win some kind of award for the worst pre-debate spin. He tried to defend NBC anchor Lester Holt: “It turns out Holt is actually a registered Republican. Trump still might find things to complain about Monday night, but a case for partisan bias against him will be tough to make.” Right after the debate, despite all evidence, Cillizza…

BBC’s Kay Touts Holt’s Question Hitting Trump on Hillary’s Looks

September 27th, 2016 7:26 PM
PBS’s Charlie Rose program aired live for much of Monday night’s show recapping the first presidential debate and BBC’s Katty Kay credited debate moderator Lester Holt for his “dog whistle politics” question to Donald Trump about Hillary Clinton’s looks but hammered the “political malpractice” of Clinton barely having to discuss her e-mail scandal.

If Lester Holt Really Wanted to Be Fair and Balanced...

September 27th, 2016 5:11 PM
NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, at Monday night’s debate, repeatedly cross-examined and fact-checked GOP nominee Donald Trump. However, for Hillary Clinton there was not one single challenge to anything she said. And there wasn’t a hard-hitting question to the Democratic nominee on any of her controversies whether it be Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation or the e-mails.

NY Times Angry at Trump for Playing Race Card on Poor Hillary

September 27th, 2016 12:00 PM
The first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is in the books, and the front page of the New York Times registered an amazingly slanted front-page “news analysis” by Michael Barbaro and Matt Flegenheimer. They sternly rebuked Trump for daring to suggest Hillary Clinton had once been insensitive about race: "No amount of practice, it seemed, could fully prepare her -- or…

Debate’s Hard Economic Questions to Trump, None to Clinton

Business
September 27th, 2016 12:09 AM
The first presidential debate pitting Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton on Sept. 26, kicked off with the topic “achieving prosperity.” Not that you’d ever really know it from the questions asked by moderator Lester Holt. Multiple polls show that the economy is foremost in voters minds, but the economic segment of the debate failed to dive deep into the state of the U.S. economy. And the tough…

September 26th, 2016 11:29 PM
Debate moderator Lester Holt repeatedly challenged Donald Trump during Monday night’s highly anticipated debate, but refrained from going after Hillary Clinton in the same aggressive manner. Holt also minimized the Democrat’s e-mail scandal. It was only brought up because Trump did so.
