This week, it was the Canadian trucker convoy arriving in Ottawa to protest the COVID vaccine mandate imposed by socialist prime minister Justin Trudeau.

The real estate mogul no longer calls 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home. He can do or say anything he wants as a private citizen, and it won’t impact our lives. He’s not even allowed on most social media platforms. And yet…

The China Olympics kicked off on Friday night under the shadow of the country’s brutal regime sentencing Uyghur minorities to prison terms featuring torture and sexual abuse. Yet, as NewsBusters reported on Tuesday, the networks only allowed 13 minutes in one year. For NBC, the network televising the Olympics, there was only 742 seconds. 

Twice this week, Fox News Channel has shown viewers the kind of pro-gun story that should be seen a lot more often as the media are usually fixated on guns used by criminals while ignoring those used by law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.

On the PBS NewsHour on Friday night, Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart insisted "no one serious out there wants to defund the police." But his own newspaper came out with a big serious editorial in June 2020 lauding the whole movement as an idealistic reimagining of public safety. Capehart promoted it on Twitter! 

Forget all of CNN's years of horror-movie coverage of Trump as an American Hitler or a Russian tool or COVID killer. What irks Washington Post columnist Margaret Sullivan the most about Jeff Zucker is her belief that he enabled the rise of Trump at NBC, and in the primaries at CNN.

Get out the hankies. After the Jeff Zucker ouster at CNN, Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy reported that "mostly the anger -- among reporters, producers and managers who were close to Zucker -- is directed at WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar and AT&T CEO John Stankey. We keep hearing variations of this phrase: 'Jason took down the best boss I ever had.'"

On Friday afternoon, a New York federal jury convicted liberal media darling and anti-Trump hero Michael Avenatti was convicted of identity theft and wire fraud involving porn star Stormy Daniels, his second guilty verdict in almost two years. Not surprisingly, some in the liberal media wanted nothing to do with him as the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News ignored it on their lead Friday…

Through a series of stories this week, it was evident CNN’s current staff have no interest in being salvaged as a serious news organization and anything other than a far-left propaganda outlet worthy of being some combination of mocked and ignored. Instead of seeking to move on from disgraced former boss Jeff Zucker, they’ve tried to canonize him as a tent pole of American democracy.

After NBC News’s morning and evening shows spent only 12 minutes, 22 seconds (in a year) on China’s horrific genocide of the Uyghurs, NBC actually managed to equal that coverage of the Uyghurs in just one night and morning of their Beijing Olympics coverage. However, there were other moments in the coverage that sounded like they were cribbed from a Chi-Com’s propaganda booklet.

Sarah D. at Twitchy wasn’t pussy-footing in describing a Twitter threat mocking The New York Times from New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz. Their headline was “NYT plunges headfirst into Xi and China’s lap with blatant, destructive CCP COVID propaganda.”
