A native of Venezuela, Javier Zurita is interning with MRC Latino and the National Journalism Center while he completes his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Latin American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2013, he earned his Associate in Arts degree with highest honors at Miami Dade College, where he served as a Senator in the Student Government Association.
