July 10th, 2020 10:15 AM

Don Lemon often makes astounding claims during his CNN Tonight program, but he went too far on Monday, when he attacked a tenet of Christianity by stating that “Jesus Christ admittedly was not perfect when he was here on this Earth.” Lemon made the amazing comment during a discussion with Chris Cuomo, who is the host of the Cuomo Prime Time show, which airs at 9 p.m. on…

Meacham, NY Times Get Religion: Jesus 'Best Hope Against Amoral' Trump

February 29th, 2020 9:20 AM
The New York Times Wednesday displayed more sudden respect for religion, at least of the left-wing variety, in an opinion by veteran journalist, presidential historian, and former editor-in-chief of Newsweek Jon Meacham, “Jesus May Be the Best Hope Against an Amoral President.” The text box: “Religious history can inspire activists in the Trump resistance.” Meacham, who has just published The…

My New Book: ‘Jesus Is Risen’

September 28th, 2018 6:19 PM
I want to tell you about my upcoming book, “Jesus Is Risen, Paul and the Early Church,” for release Oct. 2. This is my fourth Christian-themed book and I am more enthused with each one. Ever since I became a believer, I've been eager to share my experiences. Ever since I began to study the Bible, I've been anxious to share what I've learned with people who may be skeptics or unsure, like I used…

Andrew Sullivan: Trump’s Beliefs ‘The Antithesis of Christianity’

May 28th, 2017 5:46 PM
“Between Donald Trump and anything resembling Christianity,” there is only a great void -- a “vast, empty, and dark space,” declared gay Catholic pundit Sullivan in a Friday column for New York magazine. Sullivan described Trump as “neither religious nor irreligious. He is pre-religious. He is a pagan. He makes much more sense as a character in Game of Thrones, a medieval world bereft of the…

The True Jesus

April 15th, 2017 1:00 PM
I have a new book out -- "The True Jesus," which is my third Christian-themed book -- and I want to tell you a little bit about it. In my previous books, I related that I didn't always embrace the Bible and that I came to accept Jesus Christ later than some people do -- after studying the evidence for Christianity's truth claims. Contrary to a common misconception, there is an abundance of…

March 25th, 2016 3:47 PM
As part of his weekly segment entitled “Ya Burnt” where he rifts on various topics, NBC’s Late Night host Seth Meyers found it pertinent in the early hours of Good Friday to mock Jesus Christ and Leonardo da Vinci’s depiction of the Last Supper that was so dull in the eyes of Meyers that “[n]o wonder Judas dropped a dime” on Jesus.

Chris Hayes Takes Lord's Name In Vain, MSNBC Fails to Bleep

May 15th, 2015 1:19 PM
As we all know, MSNBC is painstakingly conscientious to avoid showing any depiction of Islam's Prophet Muhammad, out of a profession of cultural sensitivity and a desire to avoid needless offense to practicing Muslims. But when it comes to Christians who would object to taking the Lord's name in vain, well, that's a different story apparently. Witness the May 14 -- Ascension Day nonetheless! --…

Salon: ‘Would Anyone Truly Mourn’ Christmas ‘If We Did Without It?'

December 22nd, 2014 3:22 PM
With Christmas three days away, one liberal atheist took to the far-left website Salon to dismiss the existence of a “war on Christmas” spotlighted annually by conservatives and news pundits, led by the Fox News Channel’s (FNC) Bill O’Reilly. At the same time, however, the author seemed perfectly fine attacking Christmas himself, claiming that Jesus Christ never existed and wondered if “anyone” …

LA Times Eulogizes Agnostic 'Debunker of [Biblical] Claims'

September 23rd, 2014 5:00 PM
In her obituary for ordained minister-turned-agnostic Gerald A. Larue, Los Angeles Times writer Elaine Woo insisted that the 98-year-old founding president of the Hemlock Society had been "a debunker of claims such as Lazarus rising from the dead."  But it seems Ms. Woo is confusing offering a skeptic's alternative viewpoint for discrediting the claims of the Bible.
