We are so fortunate to have expert psychoanalyst Judy Woodruff on call at PBS. (That's sarcasm, folks.) Friday evening, Woodruff, apparently because whatever evidence there is of ISIS involvement in Thursday's terrorist massacre in Nice, France is in her view insufficiently direct, speculated that "It could have been the act of one person disgruntled, upset with his life."

Appearing on Thursday’s CBS This Morning, liberal PBS filmmaker Ken Burns absurdly argued: “I’ve spent my entire professional life being straight down the middle, non-partisan. Just trying to tell American facts. I try, in public television, to reach all audiences.” He made that declaration despite being on the show to promote his anti-Donald Trump crusade in the 2016 campaign.

Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown was indicted on 24 federal charges on Friday related to a "fraudulent education charity," as CNN.com put it on Friday. However, viewers of CNN's on-air coverage, as well as those who watch MSNBC and the Big Three networks' morning and evening newscasts, would know nothing of this indictment, as these TV outlets have yet to cover it, as of Monday morning.

When the PBS NewsHour turned to its Friday week-in-review segment with staff pundits David Brooks and Mark Shields, both the pseudoconservative and the liberal agreed that FBI director James Comey’s non-indictment of Hillary Clinton this week was a damaging blow to her credibility. Just as they calmly repeated the "ventriloquized" Obama line on the Iran deal, so they're doing with the latest ruling on "Net neutrality."

Conservative talk radio host Mark Levin began his show on Thursday night by citing a Wednesday post from this writer about President Obama gushing over PBS’s “civility” to set up his opening monologue that included him referring to the President as having “been the most vicious, vile, attack President that I can think of.”

Wednesday night’s PBS NewsHour town hall in Elkhart, Indiana had it all with host Gwen Ifill attacking residents for not supporting President Barack Obama and the President praising PBS’s “civility,” but it also featured audience members surprisingly being allowed to blast the President on issues ranging from the economy to ObamaCare to regulations to veterans.

Amidst PBS NewsHour co-host Gwen Ifill knocking Elkhart, Indiana at Wednesday night town hall for not supporting President Obama and audience members firing off some serious hardballs at him, there was one question concerning the “lack of civility” in politics that allowed the President to hail PBS as being “all about civility” while attacking talk radio as the cause of this decay.

Barely a minute into Wednesday’s PBS town hall event with President Barack Obama, PBS NewsHour co-host Gwen Ifill took a few digs at the people of Elkhart, Indiana where the event was being held for not giving Obama “any credit” for their unemployment drop to the point that she exclaimed: “What gives?”

The Washington Post released late Thursday for Friday’s print edition a surprising poll that 90 percent of Native Americans were not offended by the term “redskins” which dealt the apologist liberal media a massive blow in their quest to force the NFL’s Washington Redskins to change their name. In the days since, the “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC saw no reason to inform their viewers…

As right-leaning Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson substituted for New York Times columnist David Brooks on Friday's PBS NewsHour, he gave an analysis worthy of pretend-conservative Brooks as he was critical of the North Carolina bathroom law and asserted that there is an equivalency between the Obama administration on the left and supporters of the North Carolina law on the right.
