On Friday, ABC’s Good Morning America touted a new ABC News/Washington Post poll claiming that a majority of Americans oppose the Republican tax plan that was announced on Thursday. The only problem was that the survey was conducted October 29 through November 1, meaning that any questions about tax reform were asked before the GOP actually released the legislative proposal.

In case you were wondering, journalists are already excited over what ex-FBI Director James Comey will say in his upcoming memoir. Though it won’t be out until May of 2018, the co-hosts of CBS This Morning on Thursday gushed over the release... of the title. Co-host Norah O’Donnell enthused, “Something tells me that's going to be a good book!”

Millions of Christians around the globe including world leaders like Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, celebrated and remembered the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Late Wednesday, when the Big Three Networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) weren’t able to get a report on the air, the FBI lifted a gag order on an informant and allowed them to share information on the Clinton-Uranium scandal with Congress without the need for a subpoena. But come Thursday, none of them mentioned the development on either their morning shows or their evening shows.

Reporting from San Diego for CBS This Morning on Thursday, correspondent Mireya Villarreal described the newly-constructed wall prototypes being proposed to secure the U.S.-Mexico border. However, she then grilled a member of the Border Patrol on whether the wall was just “distraction politics.”

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows encouraged Tennessee Senator and outspoken Trump critic Bob Corker to step up his attacks on the President. Hosts asked the Republican lawmaker if he thought the commander-in-chief was a “threat to national security,” wondered “what’s being done about it” in Congress, and invited him to double-down on his harshest rhetoric against the President.

While covering Republican efforts to reform the tax system and the health care industry, on Monday’s CBS This Morning, correspondent Major Garrett turned to Democrats to tear down both GOP agenda items, claiming the Trump administration tax plan was “angling to benefit the wealthy” and that the President “caved to conservatives” by maintaining his opposition to ObamaCare subsidies.

The journalists at CBS on Friday sounded more like DNC campaign operatives instead of reporters. Talking to Paul Ryan about budget issues, This Morning co-host Charlie Rose pressed, “How are you going to make the case that this is not a tax cut for the wealthy?”
