All three networks on Monday appeared excited about the possibility of Hillary Clinton scoring Republican voters against Donald Trump, cheering the potential of “Clinton crossovers.” Former Democratic operative turned Good Morning America co-host George Stephanopoulos hailed the effort to “take advantage of that split in Republican ranks.”

Despite a four hour run time, NBC’s Today on Friday couldn’t be bothered to cover the news that Huma Abedin has been interviewed by the FBI and that Hillary Clinton will soon. CBS This Morning journalists managed a mere 31 seconds and ABC’s Good Morning America produced a scant 17 seconds.  Most of CBS’s half minute coverage was devoted to repeating Clinton talking points. 

If you ever want to know what liberal Hollywood really thinks, just watch a Shonda Rhimes show. In about every other episode she has characters going off on thinly veiled self-righteous liberal monologues. Tonight, ABC’s Scandal had two separate characters rant about "white men" and "country people."

Since ABC's Scandal's winter finale in November ended with lead Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) heartlessly killing her unborn baby to the tune of the Christmas hymn "Silent Night," the abortion has not been mentioned on the show. President Grant still doesn't know, but now, finally, someone else does and the revelation of the abortion became a major plot point in tonight's episode "Trump Card."

At the top of Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer proclaimed: “Game on. Clinton and Trump gear up for their likely general election showdown....They’re two of the most unpopular candidates in recent history.” He then promised an examination of the flaws of both candidates: “This morning, the major obstacles facing both campaigns.”

With conventional wisdom pointing to both the Democrats and the Republicans having presumptive nominees the media is hyping a major fight brewing between the parties. Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night went down to defeat in Indiana. This is her 18th primary or caucus loss to Bernie Sanders. The former Secretary of State has won an unimpressive 23 times against the aging socialist. Yet, ABC and CBS largely glossed over Clinton’s string of losses and insisted the important part is that she’ll win the nomination. 

Good Morning America’s Matthew Dowd on Wednesday offered a weird analogy for the status of Donald Trump: He’s like a Greek god from Mount Olympus. The network analyst blurted, “It's almost as if this is out of Greek mythology, right?” 

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D opened tonight’s episode by attacking the American natural gas industry. Just minutes into “Failed Experiments,” S.H.I.E.L.D. agents zero in on a south Wyoming ghost town that was deserted after oil companies responding to the natural gas boom supposedly contaminated the local population’s groundwater.
