So-called independent talk radio host and CNN host Michael Smerconish made a fool of himself on Thursday afternoon’s CNN Newsroom, arguing that he’s “not convinced” Democratic Senator Al Franken (Minn.) actually groped KABC Radio host Leeann Tweeden because “[t]here are shadows behind his fingers.”

On Thursday’s Morning Joe, the show’s liberal panelists were still reeling from the aftermath of President Trump’s speech yesterday publicly pledging to uphold Jerusalem’s status as the capital of Israel. MSNBC’s morning pundits were not upset at the violent protests being orchestrated by Palestinian authorities though. Instead, they blamed Trump for “setting the Middle East on fire.”

Liberals in the media will say anything to justify why they turned a blind eye to sexual predators in their midst. Take TBS comedian Samantha Bee, who tried to pretend on her show, Full Frontal, last night, that these men’s “misogyny” was well evidenced by their bias against Hillary Clinton.  

Democrats have taken two high-profile casualties this week in the war over sexual misconduct, while Republicans, at least for now, are unscathed. That state of affairs doesn’t sit well with Dahlia Lithwick, who worries about principled Dems putting themselves at a general competitive disadvantage vis-a-vis sleazy GOPers.

CNN very publically refused to attend the White House Christmas Party (which had to be relief to everybody tired of Jim Acosta’s whining – “The waiter intentionally didn’t offer me mini-quiches!”) So it’s not surprising the network loves talking to others who, when it comes to Donald Trump, will take their ball and go home.

Reporting live from Jerusalem on Thursday’s NBC Today, Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Richard Engel made it clear that he was only interested in pushing the Palestinian narrative opposing President Trump’s decision to recognize the city as Israel’s capital. He sympathized with their “outrage” and “sense of betrayal” over the decision.

President Trump, fulfilling a promise that other presidents have made but failed to keep, recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and started the process of moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv. Times reporters were predictably aghast, both downplaying Jewish ties to Jerusalem and warning of violence and endangement of the non-existent "peace process."
