Fake Fact Check: AP Skips Info Proving Trump Right on Terror

The Associated Press made a series of weak and biased claims in its woefully inadequate "fact check" published after President Donald Trump's Tuesday evening speech to a joint session of Congress. One of the weakest, qualifying as a "Fake Fact Check," was its contention that Trump's statement that "the vast majority of individuals convicted for terrorism-related offenses since 9/11 came here from…

Back in May, Juju Chang of ABC’s 20/20 revisited the case of Daniel Holtzclaw, a former Oklahoma City police officer, convicted in 2015 of 18 counts of sexual assault-related crimes. Holtzclaw’s alleged victims were eight black women and, as the investigation unfolded in the 2014 “summer of Ferguson,” his case became a focus of the Black Lives Matter movement and racial turmoil in general.…

On Thursday, all three network morning shows hyperventilated over the news that Attorney General Jeff Sessions, as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee in 2016, met with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. While the NBC, ABC, and CBS broadcasts all seized on Democrats calling for Sessions to recuse himself from any investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 campaign, the same…

Rather Laments Press Doesn’t Have Power to Subpoena President Trump

Thursday morning disgraced former CBS News anchor Dan Rather took to his Facebook page, as has become his newfound routine, to criticize Donald Trump and praise the press for doing a “great job” hounding the president. Rather, whose own unethical journalism cost him his career, seems to relish pretending he’s still a journalist and an untainted purveyor of truth.

NYT’s Thrush Gets Snide on Trump, as TV Critic Hits ‘Fearmongering'

President Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress was analyzed live by an assortment of NYT journalists. Glenn Thrush, a Politico alum now with the New York Times, stood out as more partisan than the other journalists, which is pretty tough. And Times politicized television critic Jamie Poniewozik saw dark, possibly violent anti-immigrant fear-mongering behind Trump’s positive tone.
