Toward the end of her Tuesday show on MSNBC, Andrea Mitchell decided to echo Bernie Sanders and praise the state of communist Cuba, that "there's a lot of great things to say" about communist rule. After that, she questioned Michael Bloomberg's "really snarky tweets jumping on Sanders" for his fondness for Fidel Castro. She was more offended by that than Bernie's actual embrace of the dictator.

On Monday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell and her liberal journalist guests lamented the resignation of Democratic Party “rising star” and California Congresswoman Katie Hill amid a bizarre sex scandal. The discussion portrayed the liberal lawmaker as the victim of a “double standard” and even a “crime.”

The media, MSNBC in particular, appear desperate to salvage what little remains of their reputation by trying to insist that Robert Mueller's Wednesday testimony was not a complete dud. On her Friday show, Andrea Mitchell tried to argue that despite the lack of any new revelations, Mueller's testimony was "pretty devastating" for Trump.

Twenty years ago, on December 19, 1998, the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Bill Clinton on two counts: perjury to a grand jury, and obstruction of justice. Back then, the liberal media howled about its injustice and since Clinton had a high approval rating, they insisted it would damage the Republicans for years to come. Keep these quotes in mind if the new Democratic majority in the House moves to impeach President Trump.

It’s been 18 years since a presidential election was clogged and stalled by a recount after a close finish in Florida, and now it’s happening again after Republicans led the election night tallies for Senator and Governor in the state. This time, the national media are scoffing at complaints that Democratic election officials could be seeking to overturn the will of the voters. Back in 2000, those same outlets dripped with suspicion that Florida’s Republican Secretary of State, Katherine Harris, was conspiring to steal that election away from Democrat Al Gore.

The media are hyping former White House aide Omarosa’s negative takes on “racist” Donald Trump and of course playing audio from her surreptitious tapes – with the networks devoting 93 minutes on the topic so far. On Monday’s Today show, co-host Savanna Guthrie teased: “Just ahead, our exclusive - live with Omarosa on the secret recording she made of President Trump...and the troubling picture she’s now painting of the president.” Guthrie even joked with Omarosa as she began the interview: “I should let you know, I’m recording this conversation.”

President Trump won’t officially announce his latest nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court until this evening, but it’s already easy to predict the liberal media’s spin. As with all recent Republican nominees, reporters will repeatedly label them as “conservative,” which will nicely reinforce the Democrats’ strategy to paint them as outside “the mainstream.” But when Democratic Presidents announce their Supreme Court nominees, those same reporters can’t find the words to call those choices “liberal.”

As the host of MSNBC’s Hardball, Chris Matthews has said some very startling things along the way, but it’s hard to top his comment during Tuesday’s edition regarding the behavior of Republican men, who “are told” to “read the Wall Street Journal, play golf and talk about pro sports." "I mean," he added, "the men especially are all programmed a certain way. They don’t have too many outliers, Republicans. They all behave basically the same, right?”

He’s off and running, people. On Tuesday night’s Hardball, MSNBC host Chris Matthews served up his first head-scratching Notable Quotable for 2017 as he likened Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to someone who “sat around like a troll under the bridge, ready to bite the leg of Obama for four or eight years.”

The liberal media establishment has spent the past 25 years celebrating Clinton as an “icon of American woman-hood,” while fiercely attacking those who would challenge her ethics. Far from impeding Hillary Clinton’s career with hostile coverage, the establishment media have enabled her political rise with what amounts to a 25-year-long infomercial on her behalf: admiring testimonials about her greatness, and nasty slams against her critics.

There's been a lot of arrant nonsense spoken since the Paris attacks, but Margaret Carlson's might just take the cake . . .

On today's Morning JoeBloomberg columnist Carlson suggested that because the US is better than Europe at assimilation, potential terrorists sneaking into our country might not carry out their plots. Said Carlson: "maybe they become Americanized, maybe the anger goes away. Maybe what they snuck in to do they're not going to do because we do have an acceptance of these people." Great point, Margaret.  If only we'd had a little longer to hug it out with the 9/11 terrorists.

Closing a panel segment with three fellow liberals about the open letter to the Islamic Republic of Iran by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and 46 Republican colleagues, MSNBC's Chris Matthews subtly hinted that the president's race was a motivating factor for the missive.
