Thursday’s Hardball didn’t disappoint as host Chris Matthews and his motley crew provided screaming Notable Quotables that will take multiple posts, but the first half provided plenty to start with, including an apocalyptic opening from Matthews, a first of many pleas for impeachment, and similarly doomsday-level talk from two guests.

With the Thursday release of the Special Counsel report reiterating that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, and at least partially explaining why there was no charge on obstruction, the next concern for ABC and CBS was the status of Democratic efforts to impeach the President.

In back-to-back articles, The Washington Post slimed conservative commentator Ben Shapiro as being ‘far-right’ and that his recent comments claiming that Notre Dame belongs to the “Judeo-Christian heritage” have contributed to “baseless, racist conspiracy-peddling” targeting Muslims.  

Dearest readers, spare a thought for the folks at CNN because, as Thursday wore on, they’re having a difficult time accepting reality of no collusion and no charges on obstruction of justice following the release of the Mueller report. Between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Eastern, CNN Newsroom was filed with media statements divorced from reality.

Even the release of the Mueller report wasn’t enough to dissuade Hollywood from its collusion delusions.

After a Thursday morning of losing touch with reality both before and after the release of the Mueller report, the CNN ostriches insisted that the President obstructed justice, the report is “pretty bad,” “very damaging,” Republicans are charting a legacy where lying about Russian contacts is acceptable, and the Mueller team want Congress to determine Trump’s guilt through impeachment.

In the first hour since the liberal media had time Thursday morning to sift through the Mueller report, the CNN analysts and hosts masquerading as Loony Tunes characters were distressed the Mueller team didn’t make a ruling on whether President Trump obstructed justice. Hours before Attorney General William Barr was set hold a press conference at the Justice Department ahead of the public release of the Mueller report, all three network morning shows hyped Democratic talking points preemptively trashing the presser and accusing Barr of just doing President Trump’s “partisan bidding.” 

Ahead of the Thursday morning release of the Mueller report, Attorney General Bill Barr discussed the Justice Department’s actions leading up to the report’s release and reiterate the Mueller team’s principal conclusions, going as far as to personally hammer the liberal media for their rampant, years-long “relentless speculation....about the President's personal culpability.” 

Although the progressives at Rolling Stone offered their condolences to the French in the wake of Notre Dame’s Monday fire, they pondered whether the devastation of the 900-year-old Cathedral opens up the possibility of reincarnating the structure as a monument to the secular “modern France;” because heaven forbid a progressive society rebuild a symbol to “non-secular, white European France.”

Because it sure felt like Matthews had rewound back to March 22 because, just as things were on the day the Mueller report officially concluded, the mood of the MSNBC pundit was DEFCON-1 screeching all hour about how the Mueller report rollout “looks like an inside job.”

While many in the Democratic Party were fine defending anti-Semitic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN), on Wednesday we learned there were some that reject her and her money. According to reports and campaign finance filings, at least two congressional Democrats had either rejected contributions from Omar or refunded her the money.
