Worse than Watergate. It’s a liberal media cliche that has been used so many times, it has little meaning. But that didn’t stop CBS This Morning co-host Tony Dokoupil on Tuesday from goading journalist Bob Woodward to declare that the revelations in his book are “graver than Watergate.”

Media outlets routinely shame anyone who can be accused of taking the coronavirus threat too lightly, but it’s rare to see anyone punished for dramatically overplaying the threat. The Daily Beast just scared readers by implying that teachers were already dying from being infected inside classrooms, when the AP story they relied on never said that. 

On Sunday evening’s CNN Newsroom, host Ana Cabrera conspired with medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner to make insane accusations towards President Trump in response to his rally in Las Vegas. The deranged doctor accused Trump of “negligent homicide” because the rally will cause “the death of others.”

During an exclusive interview with Bob Woodward Monday morning about his Trump-trashing book timed to impact the election, NBC’s Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie complained that the Washington Post journalist hadn’t come out months ago to attack the President’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. She even quoted a far-left radical writer to try to bolster her argument.

On New Day, CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner accuses President Trump of "negligent homicide" for holding a rally in Nevada without imposing a mask mandate. Host Alisyn Camerota chips in to suggest that Trump might lack the "energy"  to conduct contact tracing. That's in line with the liberal media's pattern of trying to turn Biden's obvious decline back on Trump.
