While discussing the possibility of Robert Mueller’s upcoming testimony before Congress being delayed for a week, on Friday’s MSNBC Live With Craig Melvin, NBC News national security reporter Ken Dilanian laughably claimed that it has “not been easy” for Democrats to draw attention to the former Special Counsel’s report on the Russia investigation.

As Logan Dobson pointed out on Twitter, it’s been all hands on deck in the last 24 hours for NBC has partnered with its journalists and platforms (including MSNBC) to give former Marine and failed Kentucky congressional candidate Amy McGrath (D) the full Beto O’Rourke treatment in conjunction with her campaign Tuesday morning against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

During her 10:00 a.m. ET hour on Tuesday, MSNBC anchor Hallie Jackson expressed concern that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s upcoming congressional testimony might be “anti-climactic” and possibly “backfire” on Democrats investigating President Trump. In the segment that followed, guests attempted to reassure Jackson that the hearing would pay off.
