South Park creators Trey Stone and Matt Parker are known for their quick turnaround of new episodes, but airing a new episode on Wednesday night, less than 24 hours after the election results came in, was particularly impressive.

In “Hero Complex,” Wednesday night’s episode of CBS’s Code Black, two doctors practicing at Angel’s Memorial Hospital clash over California’s End of Life Option Act – state-sanctioned assisted suicide.

Though they may not have known it, Blackish just tackled one of the biggest issues surrounding the election: the blue-collar worker. Of course, I believe it was probably all a coincidence, but it actually is funny how it worked out - and I don’t say that often about ABC shows.

By midnight, things were not looking good in the Clinton camp. After their earlier expressions of panic and disbelief, many stars seemed to resign themselves to the probable outcome of a Trump presidency. 

Around 10 p.m., Hollywood stars began to panic. Hillary Clinton wasn’t as far ahead as they had expected her to be. In fact, the race was far from a landslide. Reflecting the anxiety of the Tinsel Town set, actress Mia Farrow re-tweeted a NYT poll showing that, as of 9:40 pm, Trump had a 55-percent chance of winning the election. As a comment on the tweet, she simply posted: “Xanax.”
