The scribes at Yahoo News discovered something far more pressing and their scoop showed up on cellphones from coast to coast on December 26. A fashion writer named Kerry Justich uncovered a national outrage, apparently. Her headline: “Melania Trump gets mocked for wearing Timberland boots while visiting the troops.” 

In her column this week, Washington Post Givhan was very reluctant to criticize the, shall-we-say, controversial fashion choices that Michelle Obama made for her book-tour appearance with Sarah Jessica Parker earlier this week...especially the $3,900 thigh-high boots. If a former Republican First Lady had worn them, Givhan would have scolded her for conspicuous consumption.

New York Times reporter Julie Hirschfeld Davis delivered a not-particularly friendly farewell to House Speaker and former vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan of Wisconsin on Thursday. The story is notable for ideological labeling that’s severely slanted even for a Times story, with the prefix “ultra” dropped on Republicans no less than three times in this one report.

Entertainment Weekly’s 2018 year-end double issue wasn’t as politicized and anti-Trump as the 2017 edition, but it contained this stark contrast, a “Worst Books of 2018” sidebar mocking a Christian book author's "cultural appropriation" and "white privilege," that shared the page with an homage to former First Lady Michelle Obama and her autobiography Becoming.

CBS This Morning on Tuesday devoted 10 minutes to promoting Michelle Obama and her new memoir. This is in addition to the 22 minutes the show offered back in November. When one considers that This Morning is co-hosted by partisan Democrat Gayle King and features another partisan Democrat, special contributor Oprah Winfrey, it becomes clear why this book is getting such a push.

CNN's New Day co-host Alisyn Camerota broke out the pom-poms for Michelle Obama on Monday, wistfully speculating (on multiple occasions) that the “superstar” and “rockstar” might consider a presidential run in 2020.

During her fawning one-hour show devoted to promoting Michelle Obama’s new memoir on Thursday, daytime host and Democratic activist Ellen DeGeneres put together a montage of liberal journalists showering the former First Lady with adoring coverage throughout Barack Obama’s administration. ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel was next in line to assist former First Lady Michelle Obama in promoting her new memoir. On Thursday night’s show, the liberal host used that opportunity to beg Obama to convince her husband to enter politics again, comparing him to Superman and President Trump to his evil arch nemesis, Lex Luthor.

Despite promising that correspondent Oprah Winfrey was “stepping away” from the network due to her active campaigning for Democrats, CBS allowed Winfrey back on This Morning, Wednesday, to promote Michelle Obama’s new book. In total, Democrat Winfrey and Democratic donor/co-host Gayle King have devoted 22 minutes and 44 seconds to the former First Lady’s new book, Becoming. 

You would think ABC was getting royalties off of Michelle Obama’s new book for all the time they’ve spent promoting it. Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts spent Tuesday morning in Chicago with Obama and her brother before a live audience where she gave a friendly interview to the former first lady about her new memoir, after devoting an entire 20/20 special to the book on Sunday.

Just 12 days after CBS correspondent Oprah Winfrey “stepped away” to campaign for Democrat Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Winfrey is back on the network and you’ll never guess what she’s doing: Praising a Democrat. Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King, introduced Oprah on Monday, to reveal the next book club selection: Michelle Obama’s new autobiography.
