Last night Democrats got what most pundits and polls predicted they would get -- control of the House, no cigar in the Senate. So what are blue representatives planning to do for their constituencies who voted them ever so diligently into office?
Inspired by a modest political victory in flipping the house, lefty showbiz mouthpieces have immediately pivoted to salivating over their next campaign — that is getting their sworn adversary President Donald Trump out of office.
The confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh was a major political loss for the left-wing mob. As expected, all sorts of wailing and gnashing of teeth ensued, especially from Hollywood liberals who have apparently made it their life’s calling to engage in the hysteria. Many of them took to social media to vent their frustration, and their status updates were extreme to say the least.
The liberal commentary during the Kavanaugh/Ford hearing has gone from indignant to downright malevolent. After Kavanaugh sat down to begin his defense, lefties immediately began to mock the man as a drunk who definitely rapes women.
Upon reports of a second sexual assault allegation against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, progressives on Twitter opened fire on the potential SCOTUS nominee on Monday with a barrage of slime. John Cusack had a field day with the Kavanaugh news, tweeting several slanderous statements against Republicans for their support of the judge.
What’s the best way to look like a raging hypocrite? Well there are plenty of options. A good one might be to openly applaud vandalism against a celebrity’s Walk of Fame star, and then turn around and preach the lefty gospel of peace, love, tolerance. Several big celebrity names took to Twitter to express their glee over the fact that Donald Trump’s Hollywood star had been destroyed by some vengeful lefty freedom fighter.
The insane rhetoric used by the left in the media has reached an unbelievable fever pitch. Anywhere right of center on immigration is deemed racist, Nazi, and criminal. On CNN’s Reliable Sources on June 24, with host Brian Stelter, actor George Takei compared illegal immigration detention to the Japanese internment camps that happened in the 1940s. Stelter began the conversation with an ominous note, saying that there “is an undercurrent of racism and intolerance in the debate about immigration.”
As President Trump delivered his State of the Union address on January 30, Hollywood expressed its outrage that Trump actually followed tradition and spoke to the people. Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Wil Wheaton posted before the address: “Tonight, Shitler is going to read a speech filled with lies and falsehoods. He will say things that sound reasonable, but won't mean any of them. Pundits will declare him to be Super Totally Presidential For Real This Time. Do not be fooled. He is a liar, a racist, and a disgrace.”
Timing is not George Takei’s strength, apparently.
When a model accused the Star Trek actor of groping him in 1981, Takei denied the allegations.. Less than a week later, on Tuesday, he focused his attention on lobbying for transgender bathroom rights instead, wearing a T-shirt with the statement: “You can pee next to me.” On social media, he posted an image of him wearing the shirt for Transgender Awareness Week.
Mr. Sulu’s brain seems to have gone warp speed -- with an emphasis on warp. After a bombshell report from Scott R. Bruton accusing Star Trek’s George Takei of groping him thirty years ago was released on November 11, Takei said these allegations were fake. He tweeted that “The events [Bruton] describes back in the 1980s simply did not occur, and I do not know why he has claimed them now.”
Celebrities love being affirmed and validated. So while Hollywood is being rocked with its own sex abuse scandals around its brightest stars, plenty of has-beens are celebrating Manafort’s indictment. All of Hillary’s biggest celebrity supporters, acting as circling sharks since November 9, 2016, spent October 30 on Twitter wildly celebrating the indictment of a former campaign manager for President Donald Trump. Singer Cher stated today: “WHY DO ALL “TRUMP” ROADS LEAD TO RUSSIA.”
Hollywood has priorities: hate on Trump, stay politically relevant, and look good. If the most liberal of them are freaking out about a GOP bill, something good must be happening.
So it should come as no surprise that while the GOP tries to push Obamacare Repeal, Tinseltown’s brightest come to the rescue with some interesting tweets to protest. Jim Carrey shared a picture of a hurricane swirling around Republican Congressmen, with the caption, “While another storm heads r way, craven republican sock puppets in service of shameless greed, try AGAIN 2 ravage healthcare. #sickening.”
