Amidst all the news coverage about Donald Trump’s trip to Mexico on Wednesday, there was one other major story in Latin America as Brazil removed its corrupt and far-left President for questionable behavior with the country’s finances. Of course, it nearly saw nary a mention on the broadcast network evening newscasts as ABC and CBS were out to lunch on Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment.

Univision’s decision to devote 100% of its principal national evening newscast to the passing of Mexican musical legend Juan Gabriel is a revealing window on the priorities of the network.

From time to time, we are reminded that Univision's political agenda extends beyond immigration into advocacies for other left-liberal policy preferences. Univision's news coverage of the anti-campus carry protest at the University of Texas (Austin) is an example of such coverage.

While the liberal “Big Three” networks were up in arms Wednesday evening over the a comment Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made about “second amendment people” in reference to stopping Hillary Clinton, they were strangely silent then when a Democratic Senate candidate from Ohio was caught celebrated the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.

The liberal “Big Three” networks seemed to try everything in their power to not mention Hillary Clinton’s latest e-mail controversy Wednesday. Throughout all of their news programs, both morning and evening, they gave the e-mails a total of 6 minutes 59 seconds. In stark contrast, they dragged out Trump’s “Second Amendment people” comment with a whopping 25 minutes, 54 seconds of coverage.

On Monday, Hillary Clinton held a rally in Orlando, Florida and in attendance was Seddique Mateen, the father of the Orlando nightclub terrorist, while on Tuesday, Trump used innuendo to suggest that 2nd Amendment supporters would somehow stop Clinton. In all, the nets dedicated over four times the coverage to Trump, rather than Clinton, during their Tuesday evening broadcasts. 

Showing how much the liberal media is in the tank for Hillary Clinton in this election, reporters at the joint conference of National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists on Friday afternoon wildly applauded Clinton’s far-left answers to a slew of softball questions about immigration, the electorate, and even whether she has any black friends.
