The obits delivered by liberal reporters of Fidel Castro should have focused on the horrors of Castro’s Cuba, and while they mentioned his role in the Cuban Missile Crisis and his human rights violations, many in the media had the audacity to temper his atrocities with praise of his communist ways. CBS’s Late Show host Stephen Colbert took another turn into the gutter on Wednesday night to the glee of his liberal audience as he joked that Mitt Romney consuming frog legs while having dinner the evening prior with President-elect Donald Trump “taste[d] a little bit like Trump's balls” and so began a brief rift joking Romney had performed oral sex on Trump.

Twitter is a great place for journalists to vent and to leak their liberal bias for all to see. And exactly that happened Tuesday night when CBS Boston Freelance Writer David Leavitt tweeted, “’Trump died sleeping’ #CalmMeDownIn3Words.” Leavitt’s tweet has garnered over 900 retweets, more than 2,300 likes, and almost 2,000 responses, many of them negative.

Journalists like to point out the 1950s and ’60s classic cars dominating Cuba’s streets, but in the wake of dictator Fidel Castro’s death they largely ignored the story those cars tell. Those vintage cars are emblematic of the island nation’s constricted economy and the way the regime’s oppression led to poverty and reduced economic growth.
