Gayle King just came right out and said it. The CBS This Morning co-host on Tuesday said she views the Democratic response to Donald Trump’s nationwide speech as a “fact check” of the President. King, a Democratic donor who is best friends with possible 2020 presidential contender Oprah Winfrey, responded to John Dickerson discounting claims by Mike Pence. 

When Congress in 2006 voted overwhelmingly to construct a barrier on the U.S.-Mexico border, TV news networks barely noticed. Perhaps even more surprising to today’s viewers of broadcast news, reporters back then admitted that the border fence worked.

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows were thrilled with Democratic Party talking points preemptively dismissing President Trump’s upcoming immigration speech as nothing but “malice and misinformation.” Reporters touted how liberal lawmakers were “demanding equal time” in the media to response to Trump’s prime-time address. 

The December jobs report showing 312,000 jobs added was a “boom,” a “surge,” and a huge “surprise.” While all three networks noticed the big economic story on Jan. 4, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir didn’t bother to spend much time telling people about it.

CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King put on her “big smile” to announce the network’s new president. She praised incoming “bad ass” Susan Zirinsky as someone who will “right the ship” that is “taking on water.” Why would CBS be taking on water? Could it be the sexual abuse and harassment allegations against ex-network chairman Les Moonves? Against former co-host Charlie Rose? Against ex-60 Minutes…

On Monday, the network morning shows all decried the possibility of President Trump declaring a national emergency to secure the southern border in the midst of the government shutdown. However, as fearful as anchors and correspondents were of such a move, they seemed to forget that one of their colleagues actually suggested the idea during a White House press conference on Friday.

CBS’s Madam Secretary already conspired to spoil the holiday season by basing its 100th episode on family separations at the border. Now it returns to ruin the new year with another episode on the same subject. Somehow, it ends up more sanctimonious than a Golden Globes award winner.

CBS’s hit police drama Blue Bloods rang in the new year with another excellent episode that tackled anti-police sentiment head-on and this time, they took leftist social justice activists to task for their new tendency to use aggressive public shaming as a protest tactic, as well.

“Speaker is the proper way to address Nancy Pelosi”, CBS host Jane Pauley instructed viewers as she led into her gooey puff piece interview with the California Democrat featured on the network’s Sunday Morning. How gushy was the interview with the new Speaker? Well, it could be argued that the toughest question Pauley asked was about whether or not Pelosi could work with President Trump.

After Friday’s Good Morning America ignored the vulgar promise by Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI) to “impeach the motherf***er” in reference to the President, World News Tonight arrived on scene and did a boilerplate segment while the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News again covered Tlaib as their morning counterparts did, but CBS decided to level the tired liberal media line about…

CBS’s Young Sheldon is no stranger to mocking religion. That the January 3 episode, “A Race of Superhumans and a Letter to Alf” went after religion was nothing new. What was, however, was that the mockery came not from Sheldon (Iain Armitage), but from his dimwitted older brother, Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan), for his own personal sexual gain.

As television shows begin to return back to their regularly scheduled programming following their winter break, so has Chuck Lorre resumed his political rants when it comes to shows he’s created and produces. This is even when the show’s episode has nothing to do with politics.

During their evening news programming, the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) gushed about the day’s ceremony on the floor of the House and boasted about how “historic” it was.
