While these sorts of interviews are unsurprising, they’re still worth documenting. Tuesday’s CBS This Morning featured a gooey interview with Democratic Senator Al Franken (Minn.) to promote his new book, encourage him to run for president, and swoon over “how hard you work” while still being “a complete delight.”  

On CBS This Morning Saturday, as the show covered proposed new laws to protect police officers from hate crimes, correspondent Tony Dokoupil and anchors Alex Wagner and Anthony Mason all oddly seemed to worry about whether it was appropriate to call it a "hate crime" to attack a police officer. On Friday, all three network morning shows began with anchors breathlessly declaring that President Trump’s son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner was “under scrutiny” in the FBI’s Russia investigation. However, after offering the screaming salacious headlines, each broadcast quietly admitted that Kushner was not the target of the investigation nor was he accused of any wrongdoing.

The U.S. economy under President Donald Trump is already showing signs of great improvement. So if you are CBS News how can you spin this good news into something resembling bad news? You might think this could be an impossible task but on the May 25 CBS This Morning, they managed to put a very creative bad news spin on the good news economy as delivered by Norah O'Donnell in the following video:

The aggressively pro-abortion journalists at CBS have suddenly discovered a need to protect society’s “weakest members.” But it’s not a turn towards respecting the pro-life position. No, the hosts of CBS This Morning on Wednesday used this talking point as a way to decry Donald Trump’s proposed budget. 

On Monday and Tuesday, the broadcast networks all read from the same liberal script as anchors and correspondents blasted the Trump administration’s proposed budget for making “deep cuts” to “social safety nets” that would be “especially cruel” to the poor. Not once was the nation’s nearly $20 trillion debt mentioned in any of the one-sided coverage.

The Washington Post’s executive editor has convicted Donald Trump. One would assume the only solution is impeachment. Appearing on CBS This Morning, Marty Baron touted the Post’s war against the President. He concluded, “When I was coming out of high school, there was Nixon and Watergate. And so, I wasn't in the middle of that, obviously. But this feels like that in many ways.” 

CBS This Morning on Monday sounded like Iran’s state television, mocking that Donald Trump “is doing the bidding of American arms manufacturers.”  According to network journalists, Trump also “dashed” the hopes of moderates in the country and stealthily pleased “hardliners” with his Middle East speech. After Brookings Institution Senior Fellow Benjamin Wittes, a friend of fired FBI Director James Comey, took to PBS to accuse President Trump of a “calculated” attempt to “compromise” Comey simply by shaking the law enforcement chief’s hand at a White House event, the media ran wild with the story on Friday as another controversy for the commander-in-chief.

The sneering reaction to the death of Roger Ailes continued on CBS, Friday. NPR’s David Folkenflik attacked the Fox News founder for “fostering and exploiting divisions.” He also insisted that it was FNC that encouraged the “emphasis on opinion rather than reporting.” As though liberal journalists on ABC, CBS and NBC haven’t been doing that for decades. 

A CBS comedy called Mom is donating the hefty sum of $250,000 to Planned Parenthood. Ironic? Star Allison Janney doesn’t think so. 

The frenzied liberal journalists at ABC, CBS and NBC on Wednesday smelled blood in the water. They threw around the “I-word,” “impeachment” and “impeachable offenses” for Donald Trump. Seeing no problems with it, CBS and NBC on Monday blithely touted Democratic obstructionism, promoting Chuck Schumer’s plans to block a new FBI director to replace James Comey. In comparison, these same networks (and others) routinely railed against Republican efforts to impede the agenda of Barack Obama.
