Since there was no violence what so ever at the gun rights rally in Richmond, Virginia on Monday, CBS Evening News apparently decided to make-up some fake news and claim there was. As fill-in anchor Maurice DuBois began discussing the event, he falsely claimed there was “more than a week” of “violence” leading up to the rally. But back in reality, there wasn’t.

On Friday's PBS NewsHour, science correspondent Miles O'Brien blamed manmade global warming for the severity of the recent Australian wildfires, and talked up the possibility that Prime Minister Scott Morrison as well as the Rupert Murdoch-dominated media may be changing their climate "denier" views.

New York Times media reporter Michael Grynbaum's story dealt mostly with media griping about restrictions on the impending impeachment trial coverage. But the lead paragraph rehashed last week’s spat between Sen. Martha McSally, Arizona Republican, and CNN reporter Manu Raju. The print story oddly included two photos of McSally: a CNN screengrab of her “lashing out...,” and one from  Fox News.…

Much to the disappointment of the liberal Hispanic news media, the violence, blood and death they predicted would happen at the demonstrations held in Richmond in favor of the Second Amendment, did not materialize while they effectively amalgamized white supremacism with the constitutional right to bear arms.  

On Saturday, NBC’s Today show actually devoted an entire report to how voters in key swing states were suffering from “impeachment fatigue.” The segment highlighted “concerned” Democrats fearing the attempted removal of President Trump from office was “overshadowing” the 2020 campaign, while Republicans were found to be more energized heading into the election.

In theory, journalists would bristle at taking orders from a political campaign on how to report on something. But MSNBC on Monday has repeatedly embraced the “warning” from the Biden camp to not fall for the “debunked” “disinformation” by Senate Republicans.
