On Sunday's Up with David Gura on MSNBC, during a discussion of the possibility of impeaching President Donald Trump, NPR's Maria Hinojosa suggested that he be impeached for separating illegal immigrant families and putting children in "cages," characterizing it as an "abuse of power," even though she has herself admitted that the Obama administration did similar things. In fact, she did so more than once.
It was a round-up of freak-outs on Sunday’s edition of Up With David Gura, where they discussed comments made by outgoing White House Chief of Staff John Kelly during a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times. Guests on the panel used the platform to make a veiled comparison of President Trump to Hitler as well as to push the false assertion that “there’s no such thing as an illegal immigrant.”
This week, NewsBusters is recounting the most obnoxious liberal bias of 2018. Today, it’s a look at the media’s Trump Derangement Syndrome as we present the most over-the-top attacks on President Donald Trump. When he wasn’t being compared to tyrants like Benito Mussolini, he was being branded a traitor who sold out America to Vladimir Putin. And of course he was repeatedly tarred as a hateful racist.
While Joy Reid may have been absent on Sunday’s edition of her MSNBC show, AM Joy, that did not mean that her loyal viewers did not have the opportunity to enjoy the hysterical anti-Trump commentary that they so look forward to every weekend. In spite of all the Trump-hating, anti-Trump Republican Strategist Evan Siegfried did manage to make a good point or two when highlighting why conservatives distrust the media.
On the MSNBC show 'AM Joy,' Maria Hinojosa says: "The government supports the Corporation for Public Broadcasting that supports public media, which is independent. Although oftentimes kind of bends over backward to show that they're not too progressive, precisely because they don't want to be caught on that charge."
On Saturday's AM Joy, several regular MSNBC panel members attacked the Republican party as a "racist party" whose leader, President Donald Trump, is engaging in "modern-day holocaust denial" and treats Hispanics like "animals" as host Joy Reid was joined by NBC News columnist Kurt Bardella, NPR's Maria Hinojosa, and Democratic pollster Fernand Amandi.
On Sunday afternoon, MSNBC displayed the latest in a very small number of times when the dominant liberal media have admitted that the treatment of illegal immigrants in detention under the Trump administration has been very similar to what it was under the Obama administration in spite of the media treating the detention centers as if they were something President Donald Trump invented.
Appearing as a guest on Friday's MSNBC Live, NPR's Maria Hinojosa informed host Stephanie Ruhle that much of what liberals having been criticizing about President Donald Trump's detention of illegal immigrants is not much different from what was already being done during the Obama administration, in spite of the liberal media only just recently giving it attention. At one point, Hinojosa even corrected Ruhle when the MSNBC host claimed that children had not previously had to speak for themselves without an attorney in immigration court.
MSNBC, also known as the George Soros News Network, has continued to go off the deep end when discussing the Trump Administration's policy of enforcing existing immigration laws. During Tuesday's edition of MSNBC Live With Stephanie Ruhle, panelist Mark Thompson compared President Trump to the Roman emperor Nero, accusing him of "burning America up." NPR Latino USA host Maria Hinojosa dropped the usual Holocaust analogies.
On Thursday night’s All In, the media’s mangling of President Trump’s description of immigrant gang members as “animals” was buried under a flood of hyperbole about genocide from NPR host Maria Hinojosa. Somehow, Hinojosa cartooned Trump into saying every foreign-born person in America is an “animal” (including his wife), and then wildly compared his statement to the Rwandan genocide of the Tutsis. So much for NPR as your taxpayer-funded oasis of sanity.
On Saturday's AM Joy on MSNBC, after NewsMax's J.D. Hayworth appeared on a panel where he was outnumbered by liberals 3:1, host Joy Reid repeatedly attempted to race-bait the former Republican congressman with stories that ranged from false to misleading, and ended up kicking him off the show when she was dissatisfied with how he answered her questions. Reid: "I think we're done with this segment because you literally answered a non sequitur that's incredibly offensive. I'm going to let Rosie Perez talk about the -- thank you for being here. No, you know what, what an odd exchange."
On Saturday's AM Joy on MSNBC, during a discussion of recent instances of apparent Donald Trump supporters being recorded in public places being rowdy and sometimes saying racist things to strangers, former CNN correspondent Maria Hinojosa complained that the "mainstream media" have caused whites to be afraid of immigrants. And, moments later, guest Tim Wise -- identified as an "anti-racism educator" -- fretted about whether "white folks" would be "silent collaborators" with racists rather than opposing them.
