On Saturday morning, CBS and NBC both ran predictable reports arguing that human activity is causing global warming, which is causing hurricanes like Florence to be worse, while those who are skeptical are derided as "climate change deniers." By contrast, global warming skeptic Joe Bastardi appeared on both Friday's Fox News at Night and Thursday's Hannity show on FNC. He argued that, while it is true that climate has always undergone change, past hurricane seasons have actually been worse than those in recent decades, as he doubted that humans are making a significant impact on the climate.

On Friday night, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News showed zero interest in informing viewers about a new but sad twist involving the death of Kate Steinle as the illegal immigrant who was acquitted last year of her murder filed a lawsuit against the federal government. In contrast, the CBS Evening News gave this lawsuit by illegal immigrant Jose Inez Garcia Zarate its due diligence with two teases and a full segment.

After giving President Obama’s silence on Kate Steinle a pass in 2015, the networks are suddenly interested in what the current President has to say about her murderer’s recently released verdict, two years later. As a reminder, in July of 2015 President Obama ignored the shocking death of 32-year-old Kate Steinle, a woman who was shot and killed by a five-time-deported illegal immigrant and felon, while she was walking with her father in a popular tourist area of San Francisco.

With September’s news coverage now in the record books, the latest Media Research Center analysis finds TV’s hostility to the Trump presidency continues unabated. According to our analysts, the President received 92% bad press, vs. just 8% good press on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening news shows last month.

The liberal media was out in force on Tuesday in the wake of President Trump’s decision to rescind Obama-era executive action on immigration known as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). In fact, after decrying Trump’s decision to put Congress in charge of codifying Obama’s order during their morning broadcasts, the Big Three Networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) spent 99 percent of their evening broadcasts railing against it with scant coverage of those who supported the move.

Come Monday, technology company Google was still reeling after an internal and controversial memo circulated by an employee went viral. The 10-page memo, which questioned the company’s diversity efforts, was the work of one person, but for CBS it meant a setback for all. “Tech-giant Google’s efforts to improve its image as a company that promotes diversity have been dealt a major setback, in the form of a memo from a male employee,” announced Anchor Anthony Mason during CBS Evening News.

On Tuesday, ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS This Morning covered the violence at left-wing May Day protests on Monday, but then absurdly tried to claim the demonstrations were “mostly peaceful” efforts to oppose “the Trump administration’s immigration and labor policies.” All three networks also avoided labeling the rioters as liberal.

CBS Evening News rounded out their broadcast Wednesday by highlighting a ultra-leftist Unitarian Universalist church’s efforts to weed out racism. “We end tonight with a new treatment for a disease that has afflicted this country since its birth,” touted CBS Anchor Scott Pelley, “John Blackstone now on curing racism. One step at a time.” That’s right, a racism twelve-step program that’s seriously called “Racists Anonymous.”

The Tuesday evening following the first 2016 presidential debate, CBS Evening News was eager to share the opinions of people at debate watch parties from all across the country, including Los Angles, Philadelphia, and Dallas. Of the three watch parties they covered, CBS chose to lead with Los Angles where the makeup of the room was highly biased. “This group of Latino debate watchers gathered early,” reported CBS’s John Blackstone, “None here support Donald Trump, but Ana Reyes came looking for more reasons why Hillary Clinton deserved her vote.”

Major conservative leaders convened at Facebook headquarters Wednesday to discuss the recent scandal of suppressing conservative trending topics. But you would never know it if you were watching ABC’s World News Tonight or NBC Nightly News. Kudos to CBS’s Evening News for not only mentioning the highly anticipated meeting, but giving it a full segment to boot! “Facebook held a summit of conservative leaders today to address allegations that the world’s leading social media website has a tendency to face left,” stated Anthony Mason kicking off their minutes long briefing.

Thursday’s CBS Evening News led with the severe weather threatening those in the Midwest, but in addition to looking at the storm track and damage thus far, the storms were hyped as a consequence of global warming. Anchor Scott Pelley ruled in an opening tease that “[t]ornadoes in Texas” struck “on the same day that a new study blames climate change for a surge in severe storms and wildfires.”

ABC, CBS, and NBC's Friday evening newscasts all spotlighted how "gun rights supporters, many of them openly armed" protested President Obama as he visited Roseburg, Oregon to comfort family members of the victims of the recent mass shooting there. CBS's John Blackstone played up how "the protesters gathered at the Roseburg airport carried both signs and guns – a potential nightmare for the Secret Service." NBC Nightly News featured footage of a Confederate flag flying from pickup truck of one of the protesters – something ABC and CBS didn't do.
