ABC parroted Hillary Clinton’s dismissal of e-mail scandal as a partisan hit job while NBC touted an “exclusive look” at a smartphone app that will be utilized by the Clinton campaign.

The journalists on Good Morning America, Friday, spun Hillary Clinton as staying “above the fray” in her battle with Bernie Sanders, saying the former Secretary of State was cautiously optimistic.” CBS This Morning saw the Democratic fight as almost “affectionate” when compared to the Republicans. As part of its three 2016 campaign segments on Monday, ABC’s World News Tonight featured Clinton campaign correspondent Cecilia Vega fretting that the campaign’s “grueling pace” may have “seem[ed] to catch up” with Hillary Clinton as she coughed multiple times during an appearance and had to take a drink of water.

Instead of covering any of the developments that have boiled to the surfice since Tuesday concerning Hillary Clinton’s e-mail scandal, ABC’s World News Tonight again skipped that aspect of Clinton coverage and spent a portion of its 2016 report on Sunday dithering over recently-posted video of a young Ted Cruz telling the camera that he hopes to achieve “world domination” as an adult.

The major broadcast networks offered on Thursday night five minutes and 15 seconds on the Democratic presidential race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, but made no effort to mention the new details that broke this week pertaining to the highly classified nature of some e-mails found on her private server and instead trumpeted her “on attack” and “unloading” on Sanders.

Despite a four hour-run time, NBC’s Today on Wednesday skipped a dire new poll showing Bernie Slanders crushing Hillary Clinton by 27 points in New Hampshire. ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS This Morning, in contrast, both covered the surprising development. GMA co-host Amy Robach marveled at “the stunning new poll showing her free-falling in New Hampshire.” 

The three networks on Tuesday mostly glossed over the Democratic candidates participating in Fusion's Monday night Brown and Black Forum in Iowa that included radical questions about “white privilege,” “white terrorism” and reparations. Instead, ABC and CBS focused on fun, light queries at the Iowa event. NBC ignored it entirely. 

After having spent seven and a half minutes on Tuesday trumpeting President Obama’s executive actions on gun control, CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley eventually turned his newscast to the 2016 election and invoked Ronald Reagan in lecturing Republicans that “he wouldn't recognize the melee just four weeks before Iowa.”

Following former President Bill Clinton’s first 2016 campaign events on Monday for wife Hillary, the “big three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC proclaimed that Hillary’s use of her “secret” and “most potent” weapon as a surrogate in New Hampshire was “a decisive moment” of this election season.
