'The Mick:' Birth Control 'Revolutionized Everything For Women'

Culture
January 10th, 2017 10:51 PM
Following the premiere’s glowing support of Planned Parenthood (and an even worse trailer after that), Tuesday’s episode of The Mick on Fox skipped the pretense of woman’s health and went straight for the sex. All of this to honor the "real" symbol of women’s power: the birth control pill.

WashPost Falsely Claims 'No Evidence' in House Panel's PP Report

January 8th, 2017 7:43 PM
A Thursday Washington Post editorial on the results of a House panel's investigation into what the paper called Planned Parenthood's "contributions" to "fetal tissue research" packs an astounding number of falsehoods into a mere five paragraphs.

WashPost Likens VA Bathroom Bill to Racism, Wrongly Claims No Crime

January 8th, 2017 4:55 PM
In a Saturday article titled, "Virginia's Latest Attempt to Marginalize Minorities," the Washington Post editorial board slams Virginia Republican Delegate Robert Marshall for proposing a bathroom bill similar to that in North Carolina that would bar men from using women's restrooms. As it wrongly claims that there are no examples in Virginia of men pretending to be women to victimize them in…

The new Fox "comedy" The Mick is receiving some much-deserved outrage for its depravity and sexualization of children. The show revolves around foul-mouthed, irresponsible grifter Mackenzie “Mick” Murphy (Kaitlin Olson) who is forced to look after her intolerable niece and nephews after her rich sister goes to jail.

Liberal Struggle Against Reality

January 5th, 2017 12:34 PM
We will never understand liberals and progressives until we recognize that they often see reality as a social construct subject to being challenged and changed. For example, throughout the world, boys and girls have different toy preferences. Typically, boys like to play with cars and trucks, whereas girls prefer dolls. Liberals explain this with the assertion that boys and girls are socialized…

WashPost Launches Hype of 'Women's' Inauguration Protest of Trump

January 4th, 2017 2:32 PM
The Washington Post launched a new double standard on the front page on Wednesday. On the top half of the front page came this headline: "Inauguration protest began as a vent: More than 100,000 say they plan to participate in Jan. 21 women's march." Liberal protests are more newsworthy than conservative ones. Six days later, the annual March for Life will engulf the nation's capital with tens of…

Fox's 'The Mick' Praises Planned Parenthood Services In Pilot

Let’s cut to the chase on this: unlikable people are just not funny. Even worse is when every single character in a "comedy" is unlikable for a full thirty minutes, and they praise an unlikable organization like Planned Parenthood. And yet that is what audiences are forced to sit through with Fox's new series The Mick.

Vox Writer: Many Celebrities Died in 2016; Liberals Hardest Hit

December 31st, 2016 9:08 PM
Besides the electoral setbacks that liberals absorbed in 2016, they also were politically traumatized by quite a few of the year’s celebrity deaths, according to Caroline Framke. In a Friday piece, Framke opined that it was “particularly cruel” that “an entire tier of progressive icons” was passing away at the same time that Donald Trump was “riding a…wave of fury that depends on fear, xenophobia…

Red State Revenge? J-Law’s ‘Passengers’ Bombs

December 31st, 2016 12:05 PM
On the surface, “Passengers” looks like sci-fi catnip. Two attractive stars play passengers on a long-distance space flight. Their cryo-pods open prematurely, forcing them to fix the faulty beds or live out their lives in space. Alone. The only thing left for them to do is fall in love.  That delivers both a sci-fi punch and romantic potential. And then there’s Lawrence’s open letter. The Oscar…

Slate Writer: Trump’s Win ‘Shattered’ White Libs’ ‘Complacency’

December 30th, 2016 5:32 PM
It seems that so much happened in 2016 that some major developments were hardly noticed. For example, L.V. Anderson suggested in a Thursday post that this was the year in which a large portion of the left suddenly was forced to realize that America sucks. “After Trump’s election, it is more or less impossible to believe that we are making meaningful progress,” she wrote. “White liberals who woke…

AP, PolitiFact 'Fact Check' Obvious Obama 'Fake News' Item — From 2015

December 30th, 2016 6:53 AM
Here's an update from the “fake news” front: The Associated Press published an unbylined “Fact Check” of what anyone with an ounce of sense could see is a satirical article published almost 15 months ago. That’s only the start. PolitiFact also “fact-checked” a December 23, 2016 version it knew was of that same 15 month-old item and gave it a “Pants on Fire" rating. What in the name of Mark…

Fox's Juan Williams Questions How Conway Can Do Her Job with Four Kids

December 23rd, 2016 2:26 PM
Fox News's Juan Williams apparently had a very bad Thursday morning on Twitter (readers will see why shortly), but out of respect for Kellyanne Conway's wishes seen in the video which follows the jump, I have resisted inspecting the carnage. Williams reacted to the news that President-Elect Trump has appointed Conway as Counselor to the President by, in Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo's words…

CNN Still Misinforming Viewers on NC Transgender Bathroom Law

December 22nd, 2016 5:42 PM
Over the past couple of days, as CNN has updated its viewers on efforts to repeal the North Carolina bathroom law, the news network has again been misinforming its audience on whether transgender individuals would be able to arrange to use the public restroom of their preferred gender. Even though North Carolina state law allows people to change their gender designation on their birth certificate…

WashPost, Daily Beast Mark Christmas By Attacking Jesus, Virgin Mary

December 21st, 2016 10:59 PM
The Washington Post and The Daily Beast targeted the dogma of the virgin birth of Jesus to Mary of Nazareth, mere days before Christmas, the holiday where Christians mark this central tenet of their faith. Ruth Everhart claimed in her December 16, 2016 item for the Post's Acts of Faith site that the Christian churches have turned Mary's story into an "idol of sexual purity." Heterodox scholar…
