Closing out a special edition NBC Nightly News on Sunday night, weekday anchor Lester Holt and correspondent Harry Smith irresponsibly framed the Orlando terror attack on a gay nightclub as being an issue of gun control and mass shootings instead of one concerning the ideology of radical Islamists and anyone who wavers from it.

Less than 24 hours before President Barack Obama came out to endorse Hillary Clinton for president, MSNBC host Chris Matthews ended Wednesday night’s Hardball by complaining that the American people (and presumably the media too) didn’t spend enough time on Tuesday “salut[ing]” Clinton for what she’s “accomplished in this historic struggle” for women’s rights.

The cable networks ran a full-court press in covering President Obama’s endorsement on Thursday afternoon of Hillary Clinton with MSNBC giving Brian Williams the keys to the network for a few hours and, in the first 10 minutes, he seemed to blame talk radio for not reminding voters of Donald Trump’s birtherim enough that was, in his words, an “original sin.”

The Good Wife star, far-left actor, and Hillary Clinton supporter Denis O’Hare joined MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews Wednesday night to join the pundit in extolling Clinton as “an amazing success story” who had “no problems” while secretary of state to become “one of the most qualified candidates we’ve ever had.”

Each of the “big three” networks conducted interviews with Hillary Clinton that aired on their Wednesday evening newscasts, but they dramatically fell short in providing any sort of challenge in contrast to hardball questions from CNN’s Anderson Cooper and the Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier that they fired off in their interviews.
