Dear Hollywood writers, to quote Festivus founder Seinfeld's Frank Costanza, "I've got a lot of problems with you people, and now you're going to hear about it!" Since its December 23, it is time for Newsbusters to air its many grievances with television in a proper Festivus spirit. So I’ve grabbed my aluminum Festivus pole to give you all a piece of my mind.
Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q is a weekly left-wing propaganda lecture with nudity thrown-in. It is the sort of show Shonda Rhimes would create if she did not have the restrictions of network television. This week, just in time for Christmas, the show threw in dialogue comparing a lesbian minister’s relationship with Jesus to an open sexual one.
Ah a Democratic Presidential debate. The only contest in which the usage of the phrase “pillow fight” generates excitement. No, really. GLAAD, the speech Stasi for all things LGBT, blasted Politico for using the phrase in reference to a less-than-brutal debate exchange between South Bend, Indiana Mayor Buttigieg (who is gay) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (who isn’t an Indian), claiming it “offended people.”
Turns out Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling might not be as progressive as she thought. Recently, the fantasy writer angered radical LGBTQ folks on social media for tweeting a defense of a person fired for believing that there are only two genders. The author has since been called a “transphobe,” or more specifically a “TERF” (trans exclusive radical feminist.)
The pro-LGBTQ media is now giving advice to the Hallmark Channel on how best to redress offending gays after the network reversed their decision to pull a lesbian ad last week. Of course it came as no surprise that entertainment outlet Indiewire insisted that Hallmark make a gay movie to prove where its loyalty really lies.
Here are several questions for biologists and medical professionals: If a person is found to have XY chromosomes (heterogametic sex), does a designation as female on his birth certificate, driver's license or Social Security card override the chromosomal evidence? Similarly, if a person is found to have XX chromosomes (homogametic) does a designation as male on her birth certificate, driver's license or Social Security card override the chromosomal evidence?
At this point, there really is only one major unresolved plot point remaining in the endless Star Wars saga: Where are the gay space aliens? Surely a story that spans galaxies and light years and campy dive cantinas must have run in to some, er, marginalized sexualities. Surely space pirates must have accidentally raided a “Wookie Cruise.”
Hallmark’s reversal on pulling Zola’s “lesbian” wedding ad sent another shockwave through the media world after it had just been whipped up into a frenzy. CBS, ABC and NBC’s morning shows all featured news on the “controversial” redecision, though unsurprisingly they leaned almost exclusively on LGBTQ talking points from the SPLC and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD.)
Last week, Showtime premiered its reboot The L Word: Generation Q, with an episode that included lesbian porn and period sex, among other things. This week featured transgender sex.
Saturday Night Live went after a conservative family group for objecting to a lesbian ad on the Hallmark Channel during the sketch comedy show’s December 14 episode hosted by actress Scarlett Johansson.
Netflix, the far-left’s cultural enrichment center, has decided to provide a grotesque riff on the life of Jesus Christ for the sake of “comedy.” Partnered with Brazilian producers, the streaming giant produced a comedy film about a homosexual Jesus going home for the holidays and introducing the rest of the Holy Family to his new boyfriend.
When Christmastime comes around, many people find themselves reminiscing on traditional songs, like “We Three Queens,” and “All I Want For Christmas Is Nudes.” Well, maybe not many people … probably just ridiculous wackos who want to pervert Christmas, all of its traditions, and tear it from its roots in Christianity -- like the left and the LGBTQ+ movement promoting woke, drag queen remakes of holiday classics!
