The journalists at CNN and NBC this weekend scoffed at the idea that one would blame the perpetrator of a mass shooting instead of the gun itself. First, NBC dismissed this simply as a talking point of “gun control opponents.” Then, CNN mocked the idea of personal responsibility, comparing guns to the opioid crisis. 

On Monday morning, CNN's New Day show continued its crusade for more gun control as it not only excluded conservatives from taking part in its panel discussions on the matter, but it actually utilized the all-liberal foursome of Andrew Gillum, Bakari Sellers, April Ryan, and Angela Rye to discuss the issue not only during its first hour, but again during the third hour of the three-hour show.

On Friday morning, the CBS This Morning crew were oblivious to recent stories about good guys with guns defending themselves from mass shooters in public places as they not only ran a story about an effort to force Kroger into becoming a gun-free zone, but the hosts also voiced agreement with sentiment from the story that "you don't need a gun to buy groceries."

Telemundo continues its aggressive push for gun control, this time by putting out a story that suggests the National Rifle Association is under duress because of calls for increased gun control as a result of horrific shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

On Wednesday, CNN showcased yet again their unsavory penchant for gun control and confiscation without facts and knowing little about an arrest warrant gone wrong in Philadelphia that left six police officers hurt. Unfortunately, this behavior continued into Thursday with 19 minutes and 28 seconds of gun control lobbying in context of the incident during their first 12 hours of live programming.

Recent shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, prompted left-wing anti-gun groups to go on a $2-million advertising binge calling for gun control. Liberal media mogul Michael Bloomberg’s group Everytown for Gun Safety led the pack of gun-control advocates with nearly half that spending.

On Wedesday's New Day show, CNN hosts John Berman and Alisyn Camerota pined for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to call a special session to pass more restrictive gun laws at the same time the two ignored the news that the gun used to kill California police officer Andre Moye was illegally owned by a convicted felon.

MSNBC Live host Stephanie Ruhle on Wednesday welcomed New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for a softball interview to remind America that she is running for president and to allow her some free air time to accuse the National Rifle Association of not caring about dead children and for the host to praise Gilibrand's ability to distance herself from the NRA.

Despite not having a firm, official count of those injured, the number of gunmen, the types of weapons used, or how the incident started in north Philadelphia, CNN’s The Situation Room engaged Wednesday in truly despicable behavior, using this attack on police officers to promote the need for gun control. With the horrific shooting in El Paso,Texas as his backdrop, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos renews an all-too-familiar call for action on gun control.

Closing out Friday’s NBC Nightly News, special correspondent Harry Smith surfaced to provide another emotion-laden, fear-fueling, and far-left commentary about the El Paso and Dayton shootings as evidence that “[t]he arms race has been lost” with common sense, decency, and safety losing out to those villainous “gun rights defends” and “the gun lobby.”

On her MSNBC show on Monday, anchor Andrea Mitchell complained about the lack of progress on gun control in the wake of the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton. After one of her guests called on congressional Democrats to push an assault weapons ban, Mitchell openly voiced support for the legislation: “Nancy Pelosi should pick that up and run with it.”
