Justin Trudeau is a liberal woman’s dream. He’s attractive, progressive and a self-proclaimed feminist. What’s not to love? But on International Women’s Day, the Canadian prime minister made feminists across North America really swoon. He pledged to contribute $650 million to women’s health initiatives, including fighting “anti-abortion” legislation across the world.

On Wednesday, feminist activists organized a nationwide strike to push liberal policy and “highlight the economic power” of women. Following the event, the broadcast networks praised “A Day Without a Woman” for standing up for “women’s rights.” But not once did ABC, CBS or NBC…

Filling-in as host of CNN’s Inside Politics on Wednesday, chief White House correspondent and Trump sparring partner Jim Acosta did his part for the Day Without a Woman protesters by wondering if it’s symbolized “the makings of a Democratic Party resurgence” and hinting that it would behoove President Trump to remain quiet about this.

Tinsel Town is taking the “Day Without a Woman” quite seriously. According to a Hollywood Reporter report, many entertainment companies have lent support to the movement by holding events, focusing content on women and encouraging female staffers to take the day off. Meanwhile, celebrities have been tweeting in solidarity.
