Participating in a panel discussion for the Recode Decode podcast with fellow NBC News colleagues Chuck Todd and Hallie Jackson, on Wednesday, Andrea Mitchell told host Kara Swisher that two of the reasons for Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the 2016 presidential election were “gaslighting” from the Trump campaign and “the unfairness of the media.”

Beauty pageants could be approaching their biggest cultural watershed moment yet. Not only has Angela Ponce, the trans woman crowned 2018’s Miss Spain, become the first transgender to compete for the Miss Universe crown, she is poised to win the entire competition. She claims the victory would be “a win for human rights,” and a slam to conservatives and Trump.  

CNN host Chris Cuomo was wearing his emotions on his sleeve during his Closing Argument at the end of Thursday’s edition of Cuomo Prime Time. He was raging against Republicans for allegedly not caring about the apparent voter fraud in North Carolina and allegedly trying to “subvert” the will of voters in Wisconsin and Michigan.

With the nation still in mourning from the passing of former President George H.W. Bush, NBC spent six minutes, 19 seconds during their Thursday evening broadcast on stories that amounted to bad news for President Trump and/or the Republican Party before they finally got around to mentioning the final day of the funeral services.

On Wednesday's Late Night with Seth Meyers, aired early Thursday, NBC host Meyers provided far-left British journalist Mehdi Hasan an unchallenged forum to excoriate former President George H.W. Bush for the deaths of Iraqis and Panamanians, as well as the Willie Horton campaign issue and Bush's reaction to the AIDS epidemic.

Appearing as a guest on Wednesday's Amanpour and Company on PBS to discuss former President George H.W. Bush's legacy, The New Yorker editor David Remnick condemned Bush's use of convicted murderer Willie Horton in the 1988 presidential campaign as "racist." Host Christiane Amanpour also suggested that Bush had run a "racist" campaign ad. 

Apparently MSNBC anchor Hallie Jackson has forgotten the concept of federalism. At least that’s the way in appeared on Thursday, when she suggested that the United States Senate should somehow intervene in a dispute between Republicans and Democrats over changes to the state government in Wisconsin.

Impolite question, but it needs to be asked: Is there a Republican dead body that left-wing partisans won’t use to bash Donald Trump? On Thursday, it took CNN roughly six minutes and 34 seconds from the conclusion of former President George H. W. Bush’s funeral before CNN’s cast of analysts and journalists started attacking President Trump and, despite claiming otherwise, making the genuine and heartfelt tributes to a man of character and honor all about the current President’s supposed lack thereof.

During an interview with President George H.W. Bush’s granddaughters, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush, on Wednesday’s Today show, co-host Savannah Guthrie observed: “Even as little kids, Jenna and Barbara were painfully aware of the criticism their grandfather faced, but still, they knew the man behind the presidency.”
