An irritated Chris Matthews on Thursday lashed out at Chris Christie for referring to abortion as “murder.” In a live, post-debate edition of Hardball, Matthews couldn’t even wrap his mind around the concept, sputtering, “And, by the way, calling abortion murder? Under the law?  Is that what he’s talking about?” 

While Thursday night’s GOP debate was still on-going, NBC’s Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd appeared on MSNBC’s The Last Word and hyped that Donald Trump events like the one he held instead of attending the debate have a “sort of like this rock concert feel” while the latest Republican presidential debate felt like it was “low energy” instead.

During Thursday’s Republican debate, Fox News allowed a Bernie Sanders supporter to grill GOP candidates on anti-Islamic “hate” within the United States. In the YouTube portion of the debate, Nabela Noor, a fashion blogger, complained, “In 2015, the number of hate crimes against Muslims in the U.S. has tripled and on social media.”

Betraying his ignorance of the Constitution, MSNBC's Chuck Todd today essentially asked Cruz campaign senior communications advisor Alice Stewart why her boss doesn't just waltz up the marble staircase of a federal courthouse to get a federal judge, any federal judge, to rule from the bench that the Texas senator is a natural-born citizen and hence eligible to serve as president if elected.

Don Palmer, a former secretary of the Virginia State Board of Elections, has a great piece over at the Heritage Foundation's Daily Signal website about the Washington Post's erroneous reporting about the number of Old Dominion voters supposedly at risk of being disenfranchised for lacking proper government-issued ID.

After scolding Fox News on Wednesday over a snarky press release criticizing Donald Trump’s decision to boycott the upcoming GOP debate hosted by the network, on Thursday, NBC’s Today seemed to reverse course, with co-host Matt Lauer pointing out the irony of Trump being offended by the FNC statement.

In a telephone interview taped earlier today that aired on Wednesday's Hardball, MSNBC host Chris Matthews shared with Democratic primary presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton that he worries that college-aged coeds who should be Hillary voters just, well, they just don't "get it."
